INTRODUCTION

Detecting Condition No. 1

- A/C switch is turned ON.
- Vehicle coolant below 12 MPH (19 km/h).
Detecting Condition No. 2
- Engine coolant temperature is above 212°F (100°C).
- A/C switch is turned OFF.
- Vehicle speed is below 12 MPH (19 km/h).

Removal & Installation
- Disconnect the battery ground cable.
- Lift-up the vehicle.
- Remove the under cover.
- Remove the radiator under cover (A/T vehicle only). (Scheme 19)
- Disconnect the connector of main fan motor (A). (Scheme 20)
- Lower the vehicle.
- Remove the air intake duct. (Turbo model). (Scheme 21)
- Disconnect the over flow hose. (Scheme 22)
- Remove the over flow pipe. (Turbo model)
- Remove the reservoir tank. (Scheme 23)
- Remove the radiator main fan motor assembly. (Scheme 24)
- Install in the reverse order of removal. (Scheme 24)and (Scheme 23).

Disassembly & Assembly
- Remove the clip which holds motor connector onto the shroud. (Scheme 25)
- Remove the nut which holds fan itself onto the fan motor and shroud assembly. (Scheme 26)
- Remove the bolts which install fan motor onto the shroud. (Scheme 28)
- Assemble in the reverse order of disassembly. (Scheme 28)and (Scheme 26).

- Disconnect the battery ground cable.
- Lift-up the vehicle.
- Remove the under cover.
- Remove the radiator under cover.
- Disconnect the connector of sub fan motor. (Scheme 29)
- Lower the vehicle.
- Remove the air intake duct (Turbo model). (Scheme 21)
- Remove the bolts which hold sub fan shroud to the radiator.
- Remove the over flow pipe (Turbo model).
- Remove the radiator sub fan shroud through the under side of vehicle. (Scheme 24)
- Install in the reverse order of removal. (Scheme 24)

- Remove clip which holds motor harness onto shroud. (Scheme 25)
- Remove nut which install fan itself onto fan motor and shroud assembly. (Scheme 27)
- Remove bolts which install fan motor onto shroud. (Scheme 28)
- Installation is in the reverse order of removal. (Scheme 28)and (Scheme 27).
