  1. REMOVE NO. 1 ROOM LIGHT ASSEMBLY Using a screwdriver wrapped with protective tape, detach the 4 claws and remove the lens. HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use. TEXT IN ILLUSTRATION *1 Protective Tape Using a screwdriver, detach the 4 claws and disconnect the light as shown in the illustration. TEXT IN ILLUSTRATION *1 Protective Tape Using a screwdriver, detach the 4 claws and disconnect the room light switch base from the No. 1 room light.

  1. INSTALL NO. 1 ROOM LIGHT BULB Install the bulb to the room light switch base.
  2. INSTALL NO. 1 ROOM LIGHT ASSEMBLY Attach the 4 claws to install the room light switch base to the No. 1 room light. TEXT IN ILLUSTRATION *1 Switch Part of Room Light Switch Base *2 Switch Part of No. 1 Room Light Assembly Attach the 4 claws and install the No. 1 room light. Attach the 4 claws to install the lens.

  1. REMOVE MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY Detach the 4 clips and remove the map light. Disconnect the connector.
  2. REMOVE NO. 1 ROOM LIGHT LENS Using a screwdriver detach the 2 claws labeled A first, and then detach the 2 claws labeled B and remove the lens. HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use. TEXT IN ILLUSTRATION *1 Protective Tape
  3. REMOVE MAP LIGHT BULB Remove the 2 bulbs.

  1. INSPECT MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below. OK Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition 5 (B) - 2 (GND) off 10 kohms or higher Room light switch on Below 2 ohms 5 (B) - 1 (FCTY) off 10 kohms or higher Door switch on Below 2 ohms If the result is not as specified, replace the map light assembly. TEXT IN ILLUSTRATION *a Component without harness connected (Map Light Assembly)

  1. INSTALL MAP LIGHT BULB Install the 2 bulbs to the socket.
  2. INSTALL NO. 1 ROOM LIGHT LENS Attach the 2 claws labeled A first, and then attach the 2 claws labeled B to install the lens.
  3. INSTALL MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY Connect the connector. Attach the 4 clips to install the map light.

  1. REMOVE MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY Using a moulding remover, detach the 4 clamps and remove the map light. Disconnect the connector.
  2. REMOVE MAP LIGHT BULB Turn the 2 sockets in the direction indicated by the arrows and remove them. Remove the 2 bulbs.

  1. INSPECT MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below. Standard Resistance Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition 1 (B) - 4 (E) Not Dome position 10 kohms or higher On position Below 1 ohms 1 (B) - 3 (CTY) Not door position 10 kohms or higher On position Below 1 ohms 1 (B) - 4 (E) OFF 10 kohms or higher Spot switch on (for LH side) Below 1 ohms Spot switch on (for RH side) Below 1 ohms TEXT IN ILLUSTRATION *a Component without harness connected (Map Light Assembly) If the result is not as specified, replace the Map Light Assembly.

  1. INSTALL MAP LIGHT BULB Install the 2 bulbs to the socket. Turn the 2 sockets in the direction indicated by the arrows to install them.
  2. INSTALL MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY Connect the connector. Attach the 4 clamps to install the map light.
