- Use the same procedures for the RH side and LH side.
- The procedures listed below are for the LH side.
| CAUTION | If the mirror shatters during disassembly, flying debris may cause injuries. Be sure to wear protective clothing, gloves, glasses, etc. when performing these procedures. |
Note. When replacing the mirror body, prevent damage to the mirror body by placing a protective cloth on the work area.

- DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL CAUTION: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.
- REMOVE FRONT DOOR LOWER FRAME BRACKET GARNISH LH
- REMOVE OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY LH Disconnect the connector. Remove the 3 nuts and mirror.
INSTALLATION

- The procedures listed below are for the LH side.
- INSTALL OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY LH Install the mirror with the 3 nuts. Torque: 8.0 N*m (82 kgf*cm, 71 in.*lbf) Connect the connector.
- CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
- PERFORM INITIALIZATION Perform initialization (see «INITIALIZATION»(ref-296226-S09190278172008082200000) ). NOTE: Certain systems need to be initialized after disconnecting and reconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
