REPLACEMENT

Note. When disconnecting the battery terminal, initialize the following system after the terminal is reconnected.

1. DISCONNECT BATTERY NEGATIVE TERMINAL
2. REMOVE ENGINE COVER SUB-ASSY NO. 1 (See «REPLACEMENT»(ref-224765-S25278912682006031100000) )
3. REMOVE CAMSHAFT POSITION SENSOR Disconnect the camshaft position sensor connector. Remove the bolt, then camshaft position sensor.
4. INSTALL CAMSHAFT POSITION SENSOR Apply a light coat of engine oil to the O-ring of the camshaft position sensor. Install the camshaft position sensor with the bolt. Torque: 9.0 N.m (90 kgf.cm, 80 in.lbf) NOTE: Make sure that the O-ring is not cracked or jammed when installing. Connect the camshaft position sensor connector.
5. CONNECT BATTERY NEGATIVE TERMINAL Torque: 5.4 N.m (55 kgf.cm, 48 in.lbf)
6. CHECK FOR ENGINE OIL LEAKAGE
7. INSTALL ENGINE COVER SUB-ASSY NO. 1 (See «REPLACEMENT»(ref-224765-S25278912682006031100000) )

1. DISCONNECT BATTERY NEGATIVE TERMINAL
2. REMOVE FRONT FENDER APRON SEAL RH (See «REPLACEMENT»(ref-224773-S33649139362006031100000) )
3. REMOVE FAN AND GENERATOR V BELT (See «FAN AND GENERATOR V BELT (2AZ-FE)»(ref-224768-S30284662712006031100000) ) SST 09249-63010
4. REMOVE GENERATOR ASSY (See «REPLACEMENT»(ref-224773-S33649139362006031100000) )
5. REMOVE CRANKSHAFT POSITION SENSOR Disconnect the crankshaft position sensor connector. Remove the connector clamp. Remove wire harness from the wire harness clamp bracket. Remove the wire harness clamp. Remove the bolt, then crankshaft position sensor.
6. INSTALL CRANKSHAFT POSITION SENSOR Apply a light coat of engine oil to the O-ring of the crankshaft position sensor. Install the crankshaft position sensor with the bolt. Torque: 9.0 N.m (90 kgf.cm, 80 in.lbf) NOTE: Make sure that the O-ring is not cracked or jammed when installing. Install the wire harness clamp. Install the connector clamp. Connect the crankshaft position sensor connector. Confirm that the wire harness of the crankshaft position sensor is secured to the wire harness clamp bracket through the back of the rib of the timing chain cover.
7. INSTALL GENERATOR ASSY (See «REPLACEMENT»(ref-224773-S33649139362006031100000) )
8. INSTALL FAN AND GENERATOR V BELT (See «FAN AND GENERATOR V BELT (2AZ-FE)»(ref-224768-S30284662712006031100000) ) SST 09249-63010
9. CONNECT BATTERY NEGATIVE TERMINAL Torque: 5.4 N.m (55 kgf.cm, 48 in.lbf)
10. CHECK FOR ENGINE OIL LEAKAGE
11. INSTALL FRONT FENDER APRON SEAL RH (See «REPLACEMENT»(ref-224773-S33649139362006031100000) )

Note. When disconnecting the battery terminal, initialize the following system after the terminal is reconnected.

1. DISCONNECT BATTERY NEGATIVE TERMINAL
2. REMOVE ENGINE COVER SUB-ASSY NO. 1 (See «REPLACEMENT»(ref-224765-S25278912682006031100000) )
3. REMOVE IGNITION COIL ASSY Disconnect the 4 ignition coil connectors. Remove the 4 bolts, then 4 ignition coils. HINT: 1 ignition coil is installed with 1 bolt.
4. INSTALL IGNITION COIL ASSY Install the 4 ignition coils with the 4 bolts. Torque: 9.0 N.m (90 kgf.cm, 80 in.lbf) HINT: 1 ignition coil is installed with 1 bolt. Connect the 4 ignition coil connectors.
5. INSTALL ENGINE COVER SUB-ASSY NO. 1 (See «REPLACEMENT»(ref-224765-S25278912682006031100000) )
6. CONNECT BATTERY NEGATIVE TERMINAL Torque: 5.4 N.m (55 kgf.cm, 48 in.lbf)
