PROCEDURE

  1. CLEAR DTC Clear the DTCs. Refer to «DTC CHECK / CLEAR [07/2013 - ]»(ref-612424-S37216714312014042900000) . NEXT: Go to next step
  2. CHECK FOR DTC Check for DTCs. Refer to «DTC CHECK / CLEAR [07/2013 - ]»(ref-612424-S37216714312014042900000) . RESULT Result Proceed to DTC B2321 or B2325 is output A DTC B2321 or B235 is not output B B --> See step 8 A: Go to next step
  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MAIN BODY ECU (NETWORK GATEWAY ECU) - POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MASTER SWITCH ASSEMBLY) Disconnect the D5 main body ECU (network gateway ECU) connector. Disconnect the E8 power window regulator master switch assembly connector. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below. Standard Resistance (Check for Open) Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition D5-4 (LIN) - E8-11 (LIN) Always Below 1 ohms Standard Resistance (Check for Short) Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition D5-4 (LIN) or E8-11 (LIN) - Body ground Always 10 kohms or higher NG --> REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR OK: Go to next step
  4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER SOURCE CIRCUIT) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below. Standard Resistance Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition E8-5 (GND) - Body ground Always Below 1 ohms Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below. Standard Voltage Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition E8-12 (+B) - Body ground Always 11 to 14 V TEXT IN ILLUSTRATION *a Front view of wire harness connector (to Power Window Regulator Master Switch Assembly) NG --> REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (POWER SOURCE CIRCUIT) OK: Go to next step
  5. REPLACE POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MASTER SWITCH ASSEMBLY Temporarily replace the power window regulator master switch assembly with a new or normally functioning one. Refer to «REMOVAL [07/2013 - ]»(ref-612430-S08305805372014042900000) . NEXT: Go to next step
  6. CLEAR DTC Clear the DTCs. Refer to «DTC CHECK / CLEAR [07/2013 - ]»(ref-612424-S37216714312014042900000) . NEXT: Go to next step
  7. CHECK FOR DTC Check for DTCs. Refer to «DTC CHECK / CLEAR [07/2013 - ]»(ref-612424-S37216714312014042900000) . OK DTC B2321 or B2325 is not output. NG --> See step 9 OK --> END (POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MASTER SWITCH ASSEMBLY WAS DEFECTIVE)
  8. USE SIMULATION METHOD TO CHECK. Refer to «HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [07/2013 - 12/2013]»(ref-612229-S16181698712014042900000)
  9. REPLACE MAIN BODY ECU (NETWORK GATEWAY ECU). Refer to «REMOVAL [07/2013 - ]»(ref-612382-S37239791822014042900000)
  1. CLEAR DTC Clear the DTCs. Refer to «DTC CHECK / CLEAR [07/2013 - ]»(ref-612424-S37216714312014042900000) . NEXT: Go to next step
  2. CHECK FOR DTC Check for DTCs. Refer to «DTC CHECK / CLEAR [07/2013 - ]»(ref-612424-S37216714312014042900000) . RESULT Result Proceed to DTC 2785 is output A DTC 2785 is not output B B --> See step 10 A: Go to next step
  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (CERTIFICATION ECU - EACH ECU) Disconnect the D41 certification ECU (smart key ECU assembly) connector. Disconnect the D59 steering lock actuator assembly (steering lock ECU) connector. Disconnect the A30 ID code box (immobiliser code ECU)* connector. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below. Standard Resistance (Check for Open) Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition D41-17 (LIN) - D59-5 (LIN) Always Below 1 ohms D41-17 (LIN) - A30-2 (LIN)* Always Below 1 ohms Standard Resistance (Check for Short) Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition D41-17 (LIN) or D59-5 (LIN) - Body ground Always 10 kohms or higher D41-17 (LIN) or A30-2 (LIN) - Body ground* Always 10 kohms or higher Reconnect the D41 certification ECU (smart key ECU assembly) connector. Reconnect the D59 steering lock actuator assembly (steering lock ECU) connector. * : w/ ID Code Box NG --> REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR OK: Go to next step
  4. SYSTEM CHECK Check the vehicle specifications. RESULT Result Proceed to w/ ID Code Box A w/o ID Code Box B B --> See step 7 A: Go to next step
  5. CLEAR DTC Clear the DTCs. Refer to «DTC CHECK / CLEAR [07/2013 - ]»(ref-612424-S37216714312014042900000) . NEXT: Go to next step

  12. REPLACE STEERING LOCK ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY (STEERING LOCK ECU). Refer to «REMOVAL [12/2013 - ]»(ref-612396-S04249245342014042900000)

CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (CERTIFICATION ECU (SMART KEY ECU ASSEMBLY) - STEERING LOCK ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY (STEERING LOCK ECU) Disconnect the D41 certification ECU (smart key ECU assembly) connector. Disconnect the D59 steering lock actuator assembly (steering lock ECU) connector. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below. Standard Resistance (Check for Open) Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition D41-17 (LIN) - D59-5 (LIN) Always Below 1 ohms Standard Resistance (Check for Short) Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition D41-17 (LIN) or D59-5 (LIN) - Body ground Always 10 kohms or higher NG --> REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR OK: Go to next step
  4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER SOURCE CIRCUIT) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below. Standard Resistance Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition D59-1 (GND) - Body ground Always Below 1 ohms Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.   5. REPLACE STEERING LOCK ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY (STEERING LOCK ECU) Replace the steering lock actuator assembly (steering lock ECU). Refer to «REMOVAL [12/2013 - ]»(ref-612396-S04249245342014042900000) . NEXT: Go to next step
  6. CHECK DTC OUTPUT Clear the DTC. Refer to «DTC CHECK / CLEAR [07/2013 - ]»(ref-612424-S37216714312014042900000) . Recheck for DTCs.   8. GO TO DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART. Refer to «DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART [12/2013 - ]»(ref-612424-S22318455712014042900000)

Standard Resistance (Check for Open) Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition D41-17 (LIN) - A30-2 (LIN) Always Below 1 ohms Standard Resistance (Check for Short) Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition D41-17 (LIN) or A30-2 (LIN) - Body ground Always 10 kohms or higher NG --> REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR OK: Go to next step
  4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER SOURCE CIRCUIT) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below. Standard Voltage Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition A30-1 (+B) - Body ground Always 11 to 14 V Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
