Removing

It is recommended that 2 people carry out steps 5 and 6 .

1. Remove the headlining. See «HEADLINING, 4D»(ref-212275-S34429043602005122300000) or «HEADLINING, 5D»(ref-212275-S04268296252005122300000) .
2. Remove the front interior lighting roof console. Unplug the connector for the sunroof motor and let the console hang on the wiring harness.
3. Detach the four drain hoses from the nipples on the sunroof unit.
4. Unscrew the unit, leaving one screw remaining in the front edge and one in each corner of the rear edge.
5. Together with an assistant, undo the three remaining screws and lower the unit.
6. Lift out the unit from the car.

It is recommended that 2 people carry out steps 1 and 2 .

1. With an assistant, lift the unit in place. Ensure the guide pins on the unit are positioned in the guide holes (2 people).
2. Insert a screw at the front and one at each rear corner (2 people).
3. Fit the remaining screws holding the sunroof unit.
4. Attach the four drain hoses to their nipples.
5. Plug in the connector to the sunroof motor and fit the inner lighting roof console.
6. Check the function.
7. Fit the headlining.

1. Open the sunroof hatch so that the cover strip retaining screws are accessible.
2. Remove the four screws holding the cover strip.
3. Close the hatch and tilt the rear edge.
4. Remove the rear edge of the cover strip by pulling it towards the centre of the car so that the clips come undone. Pull the cover strip out through the rear edge of the hatch. Be careful not to scratch the roof.
5. Remove the cover strips over the screws on the left and right-hand sides of the sunroof hatch. The strips are secured with clips, pull them straight towards the centre of the car.
6. Raise the rear of the hatch.
7. Undo the four glass hatch retaining screws.
8. Lift off the glass hatch.

1. Put the sunroof hatch in position.
2. Screw in the four retaining screws without tightening them.
3. Close the hatch.
4. Adjust the hatch so that it is lying flush with the edges of the roof. IMPORTANT: The front of the hatch must not be too high.
5. Tighten the screws.
6. Fit the two covers over the screws.
7. Open the rear of the hatch so that the cover strip can be fitted.
8. Press home the clips on the rear edge of the cover strip.
9. Close the rear edge of the hatch and open the hatch slightly so that the screws become accessible. Tighten the screws.
10. Close the hatch and tilt the rear edge.
11. Check that the clips remain in place on the rear edge.
12. Check the function.

1. Raise the rear of the sunroof.
2. Remove the two screws holding the water channel.
3. Loosen the water channel by lifting it. Then pull one of the edges forwards and let the other edge slide in between the roof and the sunroof unit. Pull out the water channel.

1. Put the water channel in position by inserting one edge in between the roof and the sunroof unit. Tilt the other edge so that it fits over the screw holes.
2. Screw on the water channel.
3. Close the hatch.

Note. If the sunroof motor is malfunctioning, the hatch can be operated manually with a screwdriver.

1. Open the sunroof hatch so that the cover strip retaining screws are accessible.
2. Remove the screws holding the cover strip.
3. Close the hatch and tilt the rear edge.
4. Remove the rear edge of the cover strip by pulling it towards the centre of the car so that the clips come undone. Pull the cover strip out through the rear edge of the hatch. Be careful not to scratch the roof.
5. Remove the cover strips over the screws on the left and right-hand sides of the sunroof hatch. The strips are secured with clips, pull them straight towards the centre of the car.
6. Close the sunroof hatch. NOTE: Check that the sunroof hatch is properly closed. The wires' slide mountings should be centered between the marks on the slide rail. The hatch must be closed when the new motor is fitted, as the motor is delivered in the closed position.
7. Work is made easier by first removing the sun visors. It is then easier to bend down the headlining without damaging it. Unplug the mirror light connector.
8. Remove the lamp glass by inserting a screw driver into the clip recesses in the front edge and carefully prying it out. NOTE: Proceed with great care, as the glass could easily crack if removed incorrectly. Be careful not to scratch the cover. Remove the roof console. Undo the connectors and lift away the roof console.
9. Remove the rear-view mirror.
10. Undo the retaining screws securing the motor.
11. Carefully bend the headlining down and detach the motor from the sunroof assembly. Undo the connector and lift out the motor.

1. Fit the electric motor by carefully bending down the headlining and then inserting the motor into the sunroof assembly. Giggle the motor backwards and forwards so that the gears engage. Plug in the connector.
2. Screw on the motor.
3. Fit the rear-view mirror.
4. Plug in the connectors in the roof console and fit the console by first inserting one side and then positioning it so that the screws can be fitted. Tighten the screws
5. Fit the cover and the lamp glass.
6. Refit the sun visors and their mountings.
7. Fit the two covers over the screws.
8. Open the rear of the hatch so that the cover strip can be fitted.
9. Press on the clips on the back of the cover strip.
10. Close the rear edge of the hatch and open the hatch slightly so that the screws become accessible. Tighten the screws.
11. Close the hatch and tilt the rear edge.
12. Check that the clips remain in place on the rear edge.
13. Check the function of the sunroof.

1. Open the sunroof
2. Remove the pin retaining clip and the pin
3. Lift up the wind deflector a small way and release the link.
4. Remove the inner clip on the link mounting using a small screwdriver, and move the link obliquely upwards.

1. Fit the mounting in the hole and press the link's clip into the groove.
2. Lift up the wind deflector a small way and fit the link to the mounting on the wind deflector.
3. Fit the pin and pin retaining clip.
4. Check the function.
