Final Check

  1. Clear the diagnostic trouble codes in all systems.
  2. Carry out a functionality test.
  3. Evaluate the functionality check.
  4. Check that the diagnostic trouble code has not recurred

Has the diagnostic trouble code recurred?

If NO , end of fault diagnosis procedure.

If YES , replace control module.

The control module output is monitored and a diagnostic trouble code generated for

  1. Shorting to ground/open circuit.
  2. Shorting to battery positive (B+).
  1. Clear the diagnostic trouble codes in all systems.
  2. Carry out a functionality test.
  3. Evaluate the functionality check.
  4. Check that the diagnostic trouble code has not recurred

Has the diagnostic trouble code recurred?

If NO , end of fault diagnosis procedure.

If YES , replace control module.
