Removal

Removal of the paint protector must be performed within the temperature range from 0 to +35 °C, preferred temperature is +20 °C. If the body and the ambient temperature is higher than +35 °C, park the vehicle in the shade or cool with water until the body has reached a suitable temperature.

The paint protector film must be removed at least 48 hours before customer viewing in order that any swelling has time to go back to normal.

Scheme 23

1. Remove the paint protector film at the corners. Only hands may be used, no tools
2. Grip the paint protector film and hold with hands as close to the bodywork as possible.
3. Pull at a steady rate in parallel with the bodywork, do not jerk.
4. Wash the vehicle with water and wipe it dry
5. Check that no adhesive residue is left. Adhesive residue is removed with petroleum spirit (low-aromatic petroleum hydrocarbons) or Isopropanol (Isopropyl alcohol). Use these fluids in moderation and not for too long.

When the paint protector film and any adhesive residue have been removed there may be swelling in the paint. This is normally temporary and disappears within 48 hours.

Scheme 24

1. Peel off the protective paper and stick the foam rubber pad (A) onto the back of the number plate holder (B)
2. Fit the numberplate holder to the boot lid/tailgate with the washers (C) and bolts (D).
3. Peel off the protective paper and stick the foam rubber washers (E) over the bolts.
4. Fit the number plate on the holder.

Scheme 25

1. Fit the number plate holder, centered between the grille and the air intake and in the vehicle's Centre line.
2. Fit the screws 50 mm (1.97 in) (A) from the number plate holder's outer edges. CAUTION: Do not fit washers between the number plate holder and the bumper shell. The number plate holder may otherwise interfere with the function of the front sensors.
3. Fit the number plate on the holder.

Scheme 26

1. Mark out the holes for the number plate holder, 70 mm (2.75 in) (A) from the bottom of the grille and 130 mm (5.12 in) (B) from the vehicle's Centre line.
2. Fit the number plate holder. CAUTION: Do not fit washers between the number plate holder and the bumper shell.
3. Fit the number plate on the holder.

Scheme 27

1. Separate the brake disc transport covers by pulling the wire from the outside through a hole in the wheel using pliers.
2. Remove the cover from the inside of the wheel without removing the wheel.
3. Remove the label from the windscreen.
