1. Unscrew the two fastening screws -1- and remove control unit for memory seat adjustment together with the support -2- from the seat frame. see scheme 56

1. Press out trim panel -7- using a plastic spatula. see scheme 159

2. Unscrew fastening screw -8- from the lever -9- and remove lever. see scheme 160

Installation Location

1. Position lever -9- on the seat and screw down fastening screw -8-. Tightening torque --> Tightening torque: 5.9 (4.5 ftlb.) Nm. see scheme 162

2. Press in trim panel -7-. see scheme 163

1. Press the control button -1- up and maintain in this position. see scheme 164

Note. The cloth protects the collar from damage when pushing out the control button. Note that the control button will be damaged during removal. It must not be reused.

2. Insert a screwdriver -2- underneath the control button and press the control button -1- out. see scheme 164

1. Carefully unclip the two control buttons -1- using a plastic wedge. (Scheme 13)

1. Unclip sleeve of long drive shaft -2- of seat adjustment motor -1- at the support. (Scheme 19)

3. Pull motor for seat adjustment -1- off the short drive shaft -arrow B-. (Scheme 20)

4. Pull motor for seat adjustment -1- forward under the support -2- ( -arrow C- ) and pull off connector -3- ( -arrow D- ). (Scheme 20)

6. Pull the long drive shaft -2- out of the gear mount -arrow B- and check for damage. (Scheme 21)

3. Push motor for seat adjustment -1- and sleeve onto the long drive shaft -2- by twisting slightly -arrow A-. see scheme 220

4. Attach the connector -3- to the motor for seat adjustment -1- ( -arrow A- ) until it engages firmly. (Scheme 22)

5. Push motor for seat adjustment -1- under the support -2- ( -arrow B- ). (Scheme 22)

Note. When installing the motor for seat adjustment, make sure the two seat rails are in the same position.

6. Push motor for seat adjustment -1- onto the short drive shaft by twisting slightly -arrow C-. (Scheme 22)

7. Press motor for seat adjustment -1- into the support -2- at the boot -arrow D-. (Scheme 22)

8. Clip in sleeve of long drive shaft -2- of seat adjustment motor -1- on the support. (Scheme 23)

Installation Location

1. Unscrew the two fastening screws -1- and remove control unit for memory seat adjustment together with the support -2- from the seat frame. (Scheme 24)

1. Attach the three connectors on the control unit for memory seat adjustment until they are felt to engage.

2. Position control unit for memory seat adjustment with support -2- on seat frame and secure with both fastening screws -1-. see scheme 232

1. Insert the drive shaft -1- into the gear mount -2- by twisting slightly. (Scheme 28)

2. Push motor for rear vertical adjustment -3- onto the drive shaft by twisting slightly and secure with the two fastening screws -2-. --> Tightening torque: 7 (5 ftlb.) Nm. (Scheme 29)

3. Attach connector -1- to motor for rear vertical adjustment -3- until it engages firmly. (Scheme 29)

Removing control unit for memory seat adjustment

> During programming, it is essential to guarantee the power supply for the Porsche System tester. It is essential to connect a battery charger with a current rating of at least 40 A to the vehicle battery.

> Prior to disconnecting the control module, switch off the ignition and remove the ignition key.

Note. If the control unit must be replaced, first read out the values using the PIWIS Tester P 9718 .
