Programming and Setup - All Systems: Removal & Installation Pontiac Solstice I

Body Control Module (BCM) Replacement and Reprogramming

If the BCM is replaced or requires reprogramming, the following procedures must be performed in the specified order

  1. BCM Setup - Using a scan tool, go to Vehicle Control Systems » Computer/Integrating Systems » Module Setup » Body Control Module. Select Setup BCM and follow the on-screen instructions, making sure to select the proper RPOs and input the VIN correctly.
  2. BPP Sensor Calibration-Refer to «Brake Pedal Position Sensor Calibration»(ref-267908-S23447278902007101700000)
  3. Program Key Fobs-Refer to «Transmitter Programming»(ref-267929-S15392606592007101700000)
  4. Setup SDM Part Number in BCM - Using a scan tool, go to Vehicle Control Systems » Computer/Integrating Systems » Module Setup » Body Control Module. Select Setup SDM Part Number in BCM and follow the on-screen instructions.

Communication Interface Module Replacement

If the OnStar® communication interface module is replaced, the setup procedure needs to be performed. Please refer to OnStar Reconfiguration .

Radio Replacement

If the digital radio receiver is replaced, the following procedure must be performed

Perform the digital radio receiver setup. Refer to Digital Radio Receiver Setup .

EBCM Replacement

If the electronic brake control module (EBCM) is replaced, the following procedures must be performed

EBCM Reprogramming-Refer to Service Programming System (SPS) .

Setup for Component Replacement

The replacement of ABS components will not require a setup procedure for complete repair.

ECM Replacement

If the engine control module (ECM) is replaced, the following procedures must be performed

  1. ECM Reprogramming-Refer to «Service Programming System (SPS)»(ref-267925-S30624607242007101700000) .
  2. Crankshaft Position (CKP) Variation Learn-Refer to «Crankshaft Position System Variation Learn»(ref-267935-S42433764912007101700000) .

The replacement of some components will require a setup procedure for complete repair.

If any of the following components are replaced, a CKP Variation Learn Procedure must be performed. Refer to Crankshaft Position System Variation Learn .

  1. Engine replacement
  2. Any engine repair that disturbs the CKP sensor or it's relationship with the crankshaft reluctor wheel
  3. CKP sensor

If the radio is replaced, the new radio must have the setup procedure performed. Refer to Radio Setup .

Remote Control Door Lock Receiver Replacement

If the remote control door lock receiver is replaced, refer to Transmitter Programming .
