Coolant Circuit
A full–flow bypass cooling system us used for the Z 22 SE engine.
The coolant pump is integrated in the timing case and driven via the balancer shaft timing chain. An O–ring is used to form a seal between the cylinder block and coolant pump.
The thermostat housing and coolant pipe are manufactured from aluminium alloy. The coolant pipe is sealed on both sides with O–rings and connects the thermostat housing to the coolant pump.
The coolant pump sprocket must be fixed to the timing case cover with KM–J–43651 before the coolant pump is removed. Removal of the timing case and balancer shaft timing chain is not required.
