In case of customer complaint please check that the system works in the prescribed manner.

When reversing up to an object directly behind the vehicle, which is covered by the sensors swept area, the unit should start to acknowledge the object (beeping sound) at 1 m distance and then sound continually at 30 cm.

The sensors are mounted horizontally therefore deflection in the rear suspension may increase the units sensitivity. The test should only be performed on an unladen vehicle. If the system responds correctly under these conditions it should be considered OK.

Correctly positioned sensors are critical to the operation and sensitivity of the unit. Only install the kit as recommended in the fitting instructions supplied. Any accessory placed on the vehicle that obstructs the sensors swept area ( e.g. non GM approved tow bar) can have a detrimental effect upon its correct operation.

The units are pre-calibrated by the supplier. Adjustment to the unit should not be required.
