The Combi is equipped with additional rear heating as an option. There are two variants, one for diesel and one for petrol.
The 5 kW heating unit is located under the chassis. It is designed to provide rapid heating of the engine coolant from cold, and maintain an even temperature of the vehicle interior under all ambient conditions.
The system is fully automatic. It uses vehicle fuel for power and is active when the engine is running (receives a signal from the alternator). It is fully independent of other vehicle control units. It includes temperature sensors for engine coolant, and an internal fuel pump.
There are no servicing requirements for this system.
Vehicles equipped with this system are not provided with an engine heating unit of the thermoplunger type.
