Functional Description-Interior Illum. Delay, Multitimer Opel Vectra B

Fuse Box 1 illustration ~307 words

Interior Illumination Delay

This function is used to control the passenger compartment interior illumination when the ignition is OFF. When the ignition is ON, the interior illumination delay does not function.

Functions:

-"Fade in"dimmed activation of interior illumination, switchon period of approx. 1.5 seconds.
-"Fade out"dimmed deactivation of interior illumination, switchoff period of approx. 5 seconds.
-"Time out"Interior illumination is on for approx. 10 seconds.
-longer "time out"Interior illumination is switched off after approx. 30 minutes.

The interior illumination is activated by the dimmed switchon "fade in":

  • when there is a valid unlock command "unlock central locking" at the multitimer input
  • when a door is opened

The interior illumination is switched off immediately after ignition ON.

The interior illumination is dimmed ("fade out"):

  • when there is a valid lock command "lock central locking" at the multitimer input, provided no door is open.
  • once all doors are closed, the interior illumination switch is not actuated and the switchoff delay ("time out") has elapsed.
  • after, when a door is open and/or the interior illumination switch is actuated, the maximum switchon duration ("long time out") has elapsed.

14.5.2.4 Interior Illumination Delay

Remarks

  • When the ignition is ON, the interior illuminations is switched on and off without dimming.
  • When the interior illumination is switched on and off via the interior illumination switch, it is always undimmed (regardless of ignition ON/OFF).
  • With ignition ON and activation of the central locking locking/unlocking inputs (e.g. by actuation of the interior locking knobs by hand), there is no interior illumination actuation.
  • The "long time out" is only activated after ignition OFF.

Control of Windscreen and Rear Screen Interval, Windscreen and Rear Screen Washer

Front and rear interval control

The interval operation of both the rear interval wiper and the windscreen wiper is controlled via a speeddependent characteristic curve from the odometer signal input (see illustration).

I Number of wiper cycles/min.

Functions:

  • Vehicle speeddependent actuation of windscreen and rear wipers.
  • Synchronisation of windscreen and rear screen interval wiping (rear wiper is synchronised to front wiper).
  • Washer for windscreen and rear screen (priority before interval wiping).
