Acoustic Warnings
There are three similar warnings, for the lights, parking lamps and keyin; they differ from each other in frequency.
Light warning: The light warning is intended to remind the driver when the lights are switched on when leaving the vehicle.
Basic circuit diagram:
- Ignition ON (terminal 15)
- Terminal 58K
- Multitimer
- Door contact switch
- Warning buzzer
Function:
The buzzer sounds when the ignition is switched off and the parking or low beam lamps are switched on with the door open.

Parking lamp warning:
The parking lamp warning reminds the driver that the parking lamps are switched on.
Basic circuit diagram:
- Battery positive (terminal 30)
- Ignition ON (terminal 15)
- Multitimer
- Door contact switch
- Warning buzzer
- Left turn signal
- Right turn signal
- Turn signal switch
Function:
To recognise the position of the turn signal switch, the turn signal switch is switched to terminal 30. The multitimer decides whether the turn signal lamp or the parking lamp warning is activated via terminal 15 "ON/OFF".
The buzzer sounds for approx. 2 seconds when the turn signal switch is actuated and the ignition is switched off when the door is open.
14.5.2.3 Acoustic Warnings
Keyin warning (not in Germany): the "keyin warning" functions reminds the driver that the ignition key is inserted in the ignition lock by sounding the warning buzzer.
Basic circuit diagram:
- Terminal W
- Multitimer
- Door contact switch
- Warning buzzer
Function:
The buzzer sounds when the ignition key is inserted and the door is opened when the ignition is off.
