Starter
Starter, Remove and Install
Disconnect negative lead from battery - see operation "Battery Negative Lead, Disconnect and Connect" in Group "N".
Remove engine undershield.
Detach heat shield from starter motor.
Detach exhaust manifold strut (1) from cylinder block and undo from exhaust manifold - swivel strut to one side.
Disconnect cable connections (5) from starter (2).
Remove lower starter motor bolt (3).
Remove upper starter motor bolt (4) and take out starter motor from above.
Insert starter motor from above and secure with upper bolt - do not tighten.
Fit lower bolt - torque 45 Nm.
Attach cable connections to starter.
Attach exhaust manifold strut to cylinder block and to exhaust manifold - torque 25 Nm.
Secure heat shield to starter motor.
Install engine undershield.
Tighten upper starter motor bolt - torque 45 Nm.
Connect negative lead to battery - see operation "Battery Negative Lead, Disconnect and Connect" in Group "N".
