- Special features of the central electric module The Sintra is equipped with a central electric module. This central electric module is located above the battery. Various wiring harnesses are linked to this central electric module with wiring harness connectors. An attachment to the vehicle wiring diagram for the Sintra contains the illustrations and terminal assignments of these wiring harness connectors. The central electric module provides sockets for relays and fuses. The connections of the relays and fuses are located inside the central electric module. The sockets for the wiring harness connectors are underneath the central electric module. The wiring harness connectors of the central electric module are marked from J1 to J7 in order to distinguish them from ordinary wiring harness connectors. The internal wiring of the central electric module is shown in the vehicle wiring diagram for the Sintra and can be identified through missing colour codes and wiring gauges. Important: A problem in the wiring harness (open circuit, short circuit to voltage or ground) can be caused by the central electric module. Ensure that the internal wiring of the central electric module is included in the corresponding functional group check, because it is a potential source of malfunction.
