Diagnosis
System Specific Features
- Trouble Code Features In a few cases, the diagnostic tester may display a trouble code status or description that looks unfamiliar: Trouble Code Status: Instead of the known PRESENT, NOT PRESENT (and INTERMITTENT) message, you may read UNKNOWN DTC in the tester display. This tells you that the diagnostic software or control unit contains a piece of incorrect information that is unknown to the diagnostic tester and that it is unable to read or evaluate. Both the trouble code number and the trouble code text are not changed in this case. The above mentioned special cases can not be removed by means of a diagnostic tester function.
- RDS-Time/Date Adjustment RDS is the abbreviation of "Radio Data System" and a service of the public radio institutions which has been introduced Europewide. The stations transmit an European standard RDS signal, which contains a time signal. In the Omega-B, equipped with radios CAR 300, CAR 400, CDR 500, CCR 600, CCR 800, the RDS signal is only used to display station names in the Triple Info Display (TID) or Multi Info Display (MID). Time and date (only Multi Info Display (MID)) must be adjusted manually. Condition: The Triple Info Display (TID) must be adjusted to a width of 8 characters and the Multi Info Display (MID) to 10 characters (refer to data list parameter RADIO DISPLAY). Note: To program the radio display, switch off the radio, press station keys 4 and 6 simultaneously, and hold the keys down while you switch the radio on again. Hold the keys until the confirmation signal sounds.
