Control Unit
The control unit (1) is installed in the driver's seat console.
All memory system functions are controlled from here.
The control unit, and therefore the entire system, is immediately ready for operation after the driver's door is opened and the ignition is switched on.

To remove the control unit, the driver's seat must be removed and the seat console detached.
If the control unit has been replaced, it must be reprogrammed with TECH 1.
After programming, read off trouble code
Note on trouble code 55
Trouble code is only recognized if the following steps have been carried out after programming:
1. Disconnect TECH 1
2. Ignition off
3. Close driver's door
4. Wait 30 sec. until control unit quiescent
5. Connect TECH 1
6. Retrieve trouble code
When one of the position switches is pressed, the seat and the mirrors are adjusted to the memorized positions.
For this, the control unit compares the nominal and actual values.
If there is a difference, the positions are corrected in the following order:
I Seat:
- Seat longitudinal adjustment
- Seat backrest adjustment
- Seat height, front
- Seat height, rear
II Mirrors:
- Rear view mirror, outside, driver's side, vertical
- Rear view mirror, outside, driver's side, horizontal
- Rear view mirror, inside, vertical
- Rear view mirror, inside, horizontal
- Rear view mirror, outside, co - driver's side, vertical
- Rear view mirror, outside, co - driver's side, horizontal
