How to Check the Timing Opel Omega B

Remove

Remove front toothed belt cover – see operation "Front Toothed Belt Cover, Remove and Install".

Inspect

Turn the crankshaft in the direction of engine rotation to "1st Cylinder TDC" (mark 2) using the toothed belt drive gear fastening bolt. At the same time, the notches (1) on the camshaft pulley and rear toothed belt cover must align. Turn crankshaft slowly and uniformly.

If timing is not correctly adjusted – see operation "Timing, Adjust".

Install

Install front toothed belt cover – see operation "Front Toothed Belt Cover, Remove and Install".
