Remove
Remove front toothed belt cover – see operation "Front Toothed Belt Cover, Remove and Install".
Remove wiring trough (1) from camshaft housing cover. Remove crankcase vent hoses (2) and (3) from camshaft housing cover. Remove camshaft housing cover from camshaft housing.
Adjust
At fastening bolt of toothed belt drive gear, turn crankshaft in engine rotational direction to mark (6). Release fastening bolt for toothed belt tension roller and turn adjusting eccentric in direction of arrow (clockwise) until pointer (5) is located just before left stop. Remove toothed belt from camshaft pulley. At hex of camshaft, turn camshaft pulley (short distance to mark (4). Notch on camshaft pulley must align with mark on rear toothed belt cover.
Install
Install toothed belt – ensure that tensioned side (I) is taut. Note timing marks!
Adjust toothed belt tension – see operation "Toothed Belt Tension, Adjust".
Install camshaft housing cover at camshaft housing – tightening torque 8 Nm / 6 lbf. ft.
Attach crankcase ventilation hoses and cable trough to camshaft housing cover.
Install front toothed belt cover – see operation "Front Toothed Belt Cover, Remove and Install".
