Replace Steering Wheel Opel Corsa D

Steering Wheel - Steering Column 2 illustrations ~135 words

Warning: Before installation work affecting the airbag, follow the safety instructions for the pyrotechnic systems.

Remove

  1. 1. Remove airbag

Note. The airbag unit must not be forced open and must always be laid with the cushion side facing upwards.

  1. 2. Lock steering in straight ahead position • Remove ignition key – Allow steering wheel lock to engage
  2. 3. Remove steering wheel • Where fitted, separate Infotainment wiring harness plug (1) • Unscrew bolt (2)
  1. 4. Clean threads

Install

  1. 5. Install steering wheel (2) • Route airbag wiring harness (1) through installation opening • Push steering wheel (2) onto steering column • Insert bolts with locking compound • Tighten bolt 30 Nm

Note. Ensure that the markings (3) on the steering wheel align precisely with those on the steering column

  1. 6. Install airbag
