Actuation Unit - Tailgate Lock - Replace L48 Opel Astra H

Remove

  1. 1. Open tailgate
  2. 2. Remove lock casing • Unclip clip • Unscrew bolt
  1. 3. Remove luggage compartment cover attachment point (3) - left-hand side
  2. 4. Remove upper interior panelling (2) - left-hand side • Undo 4x clip
  3. 5. Remove luggage compartment cover attachment point (3) - left-hand side
  4. 6. Remove upper interior panelling (2) - right-hand side • Undo 4x clip
  5. 7. Remove tailgate inner panelling downwards • Undo 8x clip
  1. 8. Remove cover panel • Disconnect wiring harness plug • Unscrew 6x nut (1) • Remove cover panel (arrows)
  1. 9. Remove central plug from tailgate-panel mounting • Unlock plug – Remove plug with wiring harness from guide (arrow)
  1. 10. Remove tailgate lock control switch • Unlock 2x guide (arrow) – Remove switch with full wiring harness

Install

  1. 11. Install tailgate lock control switch • Lock 2x guide – Replace switch with full wiring harness • Position wiring harness
  2. 12. Install central plug in tailgate panel mounting • Secure plug
  3. 13. Install cover panel • Tighten 6x nut 3 Nm • Connect wiring harness plug
  4. 14. Install tailgate lower inner panelling • Clip in 8x clip
  5. 15. Install lock casing • Clip in clip • Tighten bolt
  6. 16. Attach upper interior panelling - right-hand side • Clip in 4x clip
  7. 17. Attach luggage compartment cover attachment point - right-hand side
  8. 18. Attach upper interior panelling - left-hand side • Clip in 4x clip
  9. 19. Attach luggage compartment cover attachment point - left-hand side
  10. 20. Close tailgate
