Replace Positive Distribution Opel Astra H

Remove

1. 1. Disconnect battery. • Disconnect ground cable
2. 2. Remove wiring harness for positive distribution (1) from positive terminal • Unscrew bolt
3. 3. Unclip compact plug (3)
4. 4. Remove cover for engine compartment electronics (UEC) and positive distribution (2)

5. 5. Release engine compartment electronics (UEC) • Unscrew 3x bolt (2) • Unscrew nut (1) from voltage supply • Unclip 2x retaining lug (arrow)
6. 6. Remove engine compartment electronics (UEC)

Note. The bolts (2) must be unscrewed until the wiring harness plugs (3) below the engine compartment electronics (UEC) fall off. On replacement, reconnect fuses and relays.

7. 7. Remove positive distribution • Unclip 3x compact plugs (1) • Remove 2x fixing (3) • Unclip fuse holder • Remove positive cable (4) • Unscrew nut for engine compartment electronics (UEC) carrier (2) • Remove positive distribution

Install

8. 8. Attach positive distribution • Insert carrier for engine compartment electronics (UEC) • Screw in nut for engine compartment electronics (UEC) carrier • Clip in fuse holder • Clip in 3x compact plug • Insert 2x fixing • Attach positive cable 4.5 Nm

Important. Press positioning pin (1) down to the stop with a suitable tool.

9. 9. Insert engine compartment electronics (UEC)

10. 10. Attach engine compartment electronics (UEC) • Tighten 3x bolt 6 Nm • Tighten nut of voltage supply 7 Nm • Clip in 2x retaining lug

Note. Positioning pins must be fully visible again when installed.

11. 11. Attach cover for engine compartment electronics (UEC) and positive distribution
12. 12. Clip in compact plug
13. 13. Attach wiring harness for positive distribution to positive terminal • Screw in bolt 10 Nm
14. 14. Connect battery. • Connect ground cable
15. 15. Program volatile memories
