Airbag Control Module Replacement Opel Agila B

Supplemental Inflatable Restraints ~385 words

Remove

  1. 1. Disconnect battery negative lead • Release nut
  2. 2. Apply parking brake lever
  3. 3. Slide and tilt driver side seat rearward
  4. 4. Slide and tilt passenger side seat rearward
  5. 5. Release front section of centre console from vehicle • Remove 2x clip (1)
  6. 6. Slide and tilt driver side seat forward
  7. 7. Slide and tilt passenger side seat forward
  8. 8. Remove centre console from vehicle • Remove 2x clip (2) from rear of centre console • Disconnect 2x harness connector from 2x heater mat switch • Release harness for 2x heater mat switch from centre console – Release clip • Slide and tilt driver side seat rearward
  1. 9. Release body harness and 2x harness connector from support bracket (1) • Move floor carpet to one side • Release 3x clip
  2. 10. Remove support bracket for body harness and 2x harness connector from vehicle • Remove 2x bolt (2)
  3. 11. Remove airbag control module (3) from vehicle • Disconnect 2x harness connector from airbag control module – Release 2x lock • Remove 3x bolt (4)

Install

Important. Ensure that arrow on the airbag control module is pointing toward the front of the vehicle.

  1. 12. Install new airbag control module (3) to vehicle • Install 3x bolt (4) 8 Nm • Connect 2x harness connector to airbag control module – Secure 2x lock
  2. 13. Install support bracket (1) for body harness and 2x harness connector to vehicle • Install 2x bolt (2)
  3. 14. Secure body harness and 2x harness connector to support bracket • Secure 3x clip • Position floor carpet as necessary
  1. 15. Install centre console to vehicle • Slide and tilt driver side seat forward • Connect 2x harness connector to 2x heater mat switch • Secure harness for 2x heater mat switch to centre console – Secure clip • Install 2x clip (2) to rear of centre console
  2. 16. Slide and tilt driver side seat rearward
  3. 17. Slide and tilt passenger side seat rearward
  4. 18. Secure front section of centre console to vehicle • Install 2x clip (1)
  1. 19. Slide and tilt driver side seat to original position
  2. 20. Slide and tilt passenger side seat to original position
  3. 21. Connect battery negative lead • Secure nut 11 Nm
  4. 22. Program all volatile memories – see operation “Program Volatile Memories”
