DRIVE BELTS : Tension Adjustment

Refer to : " DRIVE BELT ".

Scheme 1

Scheme 1: LEVEL
  1. Check that the reservoir tank engine coolant level is within the "MIN" to "MAX" when the engine is cool.
  2. Adjust the engine coolant level if necessary. see scheme 6: Identifying Reservoir Tank Engine Coolant Level

Scheme 2

Scheme 2: LEAKAGE
  1. To check for leaks, apply pressure to the cooling system with the radiator cap tester (commercial service tool) (A) and the radiator cap tester adapter (commercial service tool) (B). Testing pressure: Refer to " «RADIATOR»(ref-295111-S08621382142008081400000) ". WARNING: Never remove radiator cap when engine is hot. Serious burns may occur from high-pressure engine coolant escaping from radiator. CAUTION: Higher test pressure than specified may cause radiator damage. see scheme 7: Applying Pressure To Cooling System With Radiator Cap Tester NOTE: In a case that engine coolant decreases, replenish radiator with engine coolant.
  2. If anything is found, repair or replace damaged parts.
