REMOVAL

  1. Disconnect the battery negative and positive terminals.
  2. Remove the instrument panel. Refer to " «EXPLODED VIEW»(ref-388073-S41816629982011022800000) ".
  3. Remove the front defroster nozzle.

Installation is in the reverse order of removal.

  1. Disconnect the battery negative and positive terminals.
  2. Remove the instrument panel. Refer to " «REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION - INSTRUMENT PANEL»(ref-388073-S08312497292011022800000) ".
  3. Remove the RH and LH side defroster nozzles.
  4. Remove the upper ventilator duct.

Installation is in the reverse order of removal.

  1. Disconnect the battery negative and positive terminals.
  2. Remove the instrument panel. Refer to " «REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION - INSTRUMENT PANEL»(ref-388073-S08312497292011022800000) ".
  3. Remove the front defroster nozzle.
  4. Remove the RH and LH side defroster nozzles.

Installation is in the reverse order of removal.

  1. Disconnect the battery negative and positive terminals.
  2. Remove the floor carpet. Refer to " «REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION»(ref-388080-S20584502472011022800000) ".
  3. Remove the rear floor duct (RH, LH) clips.
  4. Remove the rear floor ducts (RH, LH).

Installation is in the reverse order of removal.

  1. Disconnect the battery negative and positive terminals.
  2. Remove the floor carpet. Refer to " «REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION»(ref-388080-S20584502472011022800000) ".
  3. Remove the rear ventilator duct (RH, LH) clips.
  4. Remove the rear ventilator ducts (RH, LH).

  2. Remove the connector duct (RH, LH).

  2. Remove the rear ventilator duct (center).
  3. Remove the connector duct (center).

  2. Remove the rear ventilator duct (center).

Installation is in the reverse order of removal.

Remove the front defroster grille from the instrument panel.

CAUTIONUse a suitable tool to remove the grille to avoid damage to the instrument panel.

Installation is in the reverse order of removal.

  1. Remove cluster lid D. Refer to " «EXPLODED VIEW»(ref-388073-S41816629982011022800000) ".
  2. Remove the A/C switch assembly or the multifunction switch from cluster lid D.
  3. Remove the cluster lid D support.
  4. Remove the center ventilator grilles with finisher.
  5. Remove the center ventilator grille from the finisher.

Installation is in the reverse order of removal.

SIDE VENTILATOR GRILLES : Removal and Installation

Note. This procedure should only be used if the side ventilator grille is going to be reused for installation and not replaced with a new one.

Scheme 353: REMOVAL
  1. Remove the instrument panel. Refer to " «REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION - INSTRUMENT PANEL»(ref-388073-S08312497292011022800000) ".
  2. Remove the upper ventilator duct from the instrument panel.
  3. Release the clips (A) with a suitable tool and push the side ventilator grille out the front of the instrument panel. CAUTION: Use care to remove the side ventilator grille so as not to damage the instrument panel.

Installation is in the reverse order of removal.

CAUTIONUse care when inserting the side ventilator grille so as not to damage the instrument panel.
CAUTIONUse care when inserting the new side ventilator grille so as not to damage the instrument panel.
  1. Insert the new side ventilator grille into the front of the instrument panel. Push the new side ventilator grille in evenly so it does not get cocked to one side.
  2. Push the new side ventilator grille in until it is flush with the opening in the front of the instrument panel. Make sure the side ventilator grille is correctly seated into the upper ventilator duct when fully inserted into the opening in the front of the instrument panel.
CAUTIONUse care when inserting the new side ventilator grille so as not to damage the instrument panel.
  1. Insert the new side ventilator grille into the front of the instrument panel. Push the new side ventilator grille in evenly so it does not get cocked to one side.
  2. Push the new side ventilator grille in until it is flush with the opening in the front of the instrument panel. Make sure the side ventilator grille is correctly seated into the upper ventilator duct when fully inserted into the opening in the front of the instrument panel.

Remove side defroster grilles from the instrument panel using a suitable tool.

CAUTIONUse a suitable tool to remove the grille to avoid damage to the instrument panel.

Remove console rear finisher. Refer to EXPLODED VIEW .

Note. The rear ventilator grille is part of the console rear finisher.

  1. Remove the heater and cooling unit assembly. Refer to " «HEATER & COOLING UNIT ASSEMBLY : REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION»(ref-388042-S22702272392011022800000) ".
  2. Disconnect the blower motor connector.
  3. Remove the blower unit screws and the blower unit.

Installation is in the reverse order of removal.

  1. Remove the glove box assembly. Refer to " «EXPLODED VIEW»(ref-388073-S41816629982011022800000) ".
  2. Disconnect the blower motor connector (1).
  3. Remove the three blower motor screws (A) and the blower motor from the blower unit.

Installation is in the reverse order of removal.

FAN CONTROL AMP. : Removal and Installation

The fan control amplifier is part of the blower motor. Refer to " BLOWER MOTOR : REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION ".
