INSTALLATION
Installation is in the reverse order of removal.
Scheme 316
- Remove cluster lid C. Refer to " «REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION»(ref-592049-S03959165542014010800000) ".
- Remove the two brackets (1) and remove the front air control.
Installation is in the reverse order of removal.
Scheme 317
- Remove the instrument lower panel LH. Refer to " «REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION»(ref-592049-S05557869652014010800000) ".
- Remove the in-vehicle sensor screw and the in-vehicle sensor.
Installation is in the reverse order of removal.
- Make sure that the aspirator hose is securely attached to the in-vehicle sensor when installing the instrument lower panel LH.

- Remove the front LH speaker grille (1). Refer to " «REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION»(ref-592053-S24842214912014010800000) ".
- Disconnect the sunload sensor harness connector.
- Release the sunload sensor tabs (A) to remove it from the front LH speaker grille (1).
Installation is in the reverse order of removal.

Note. When removing components such as hoses, tubes/lines, etc., cap or plug openings to prevent fluid from spilling.

- Remove the blower unit. Refer to " «REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION»(ref-592059-S34240650952014010800000) ".
- Remove the heater and cooling unit foot duct RH.
- Remove the air mix door motor RH.
- Remove the evaporator cover.
- Remove the evaporator and expansion valve as an assembly.
- Mark the position of the intake sensor on the evaporator before removing the intake sensor from the evaporator. CAUTION: Mark the mounting position of the intake sensor on the evaporator.
Installation is in the reverse order of removal.
- Use the marked position of the old intake sensor on the evaporator to install the new intake sensor in the same position on the evaporator.
| CAUTION | Do not reuse the O-rings. Apply A/C compressor oil to the new O-rings for installation. Use the original mounting position for the new intake sensor on the evaporator. |

| CAUTION | Cap or wrap the line joint with a suitable material such as vinyl tape to avoid the entry of contaminants into the system. |
Note. When removing components such as hoses, tubes/lines, etc., cap or plug openings to prevent fluid from spilling.
- Discharge the refrigerant from the A/C system. Refer to " «HFC-134A (R-134A) SERVICE PROCEDURE»(ref-592013-S22021517572014010800000) ".
- Drain the engine coolant from the cooling system. Refer to " «CHANGING ENGINE COOLANT»(ref-592018-S06646162382014010800000) ".
- Remove the front wiper drive assembly. Refer to " «FRONT WIPER DRIVE ASSEMBLY: REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION»(ref-592051-S14513519852014010800000) ".
- Disconnect the negative and positive battery terminals. Refer to " «REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION (BATTERY)»(ref-592011-S06046231102014010800000) ".
- Remove the lower RH cowl.
- Disconnect the heater hoses from the heater core pipes.
- Disconnect the refrigerant lines from the expansion valve. Refer to " «COMPONENT»(ref-592013-S27985120522014010800000) ".
- Remove the instrument panel assembly. Refer to " «REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION»(ref-592049-S39150769242014010800000) ".
- Remove the steering column assembly. Refer to " «REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION»(ref-592021-S02886070582014010800000) ".
- Disconnect the drain hose.
- Remove the heater and cooling unit assembly attached to the steering member as one assembly from the vehicle.
- Remove the blower unit from the heater and cooling unit and steering member assembly.
- Remove the heater and cooling unit from the steering member.
Installation is in the reverse order of removal.
- FIll the radiator with the specified engine coolant. Refer to " «CHANGING ENGINE COOLANT»(ref-592018-S06646162382014010800000) ".
- Recharge the A/C system. Refer to " «HFC-134A (R-134A) SERVICE PROCEDURE»(ref-592013-S22021517572014010800000) ".

- Remove the heater and cooling unit assembly. Refer to " «REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION»(ref-592059-S42411169472014010800000) ".
- Disconnect the blower motor connector (1).
- Remove the screws from the blower unit, then remove the blower unit from the heater and cooling unit assembly.
- Remove the three blower motor screws (A), then remove the blower motor from the blower unit.
Installation is in the reverse order of removal.
- Remove the glove box. Refer to " «REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION»(ref-592049-S17503218752014010800000) ".
- Remove the console finisher RH. Refer to " «EXPLODED VIEW»(ref-592049-S19966122132014010800000) ".
- Disconnect the blower motor connector (1).
- Remove the three blower motor screws (A), then remove the blower motor from the blower unit.
Installation is in the reverse order of removal.
Removal and Installation
The fan control amplifier is part of the blower motor. Refer to " REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION ".
The intake door motor is part of the blower unit and is replaced as an assembly. Refer to " REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION ".
The mode door motor is part of the heater and cooling unit assembly and is replaced as an assembly. Refer to " REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION ".

- Remove the instrument lower panel LH. Refer to " «EXPLODED VIEW»(ref-592049-S19966122132014010800000) ".
- Remove the console side finisher LH. Refer to " «EXPLODED VIEW»(ref-592049-S19966122132014010800000) ".
- Remove the heater and cooling unit foot duct LH (2).
- Remove the tire pressure (monitoring system) receiver. Refer to " «REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION»(ref-592020-S13808760062014010800000) ".
- Disconnect the air mix door motor connector (1).
- Remove the air mix door motor screws (A) and the air mix door motor LH.
Installation is in the reverse order of removal.

- Remove the console side finisher RH. Refer to " «EXPLODED VIEW»(ref-592049-S19966122132014010800000) ".
- Remove the heater and cooling unit foot duct RH (2).
- Disconnect the air mix door motor connector (1).
- Remove the air mix door motor screws (A) and the air mix door motor RH.
Installation is in the reverse order of removal.
The evaporator is part of the heater and cooling unit and is replaced as an assembly. Refer to " REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION ".

- Remove the heater and cooling unit assembly. Refer to " «REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION»(ref-592059-S42411169472014010800000) ".
- Remove the heater grommet, heater pipe support and heater pipe cover.
- Remove the heater and cooling unit foot duct LH.
- Remove the heater core.
Installation is in the reverse order of removal.
- Make sure that the aspirator hose is securely attached to the aspirator on the heater and cooling unit foot duct LH.

Remove the center ventilator grilles (1) from the instrument panel using a suitable tool from top center of the center ventilator grilles.

Release the tabs and then remove the side ventilator grilles using a suitable tool.
