Removal
Unlock slider from adjuster holder. Remove rod from cable. Remove lock plate (at ignition switch), pull out key interlock cable.
Installation
Remove key from key cylinder. Install key interlock cable to steering lock assembly and install lock plate. Clamp cable to steering column. Place selector lever in "P" position. Install interlock rod into adjuster holder. Install casing cap to bracket. Install interlock rod to key interlock lever. Move slider in order to fix adjuster holder to interlock rod.

Removal (Quest)
Turn ignition key to ACC position. Unlock slider by squeezing lock tabs. Remove shift lock rod from key interlock rod. (Scheme 102)
Place selector lever in "P" position. Turn ignition key to ACC position. Insert shift lock rod into slider. Push key interlock rod toward shift lock rod to adjust. DO NOT hold shift lock rod. Lock slider into position. Test shift lock operation.

Removal & Installation
Remove left lower instrument cover and knee protector. Remove heater duct and steering column covers. Disconnect position indicator wire. Unbolt and lower steering column. Disconnect shift lock rod. See SHIFT LOCK ROD . Remove shift control cable. Disconnect ignition switch harness connector. Unbolt and remove shift control tube. Remove shift lock solenoid and park position switch. To install shift lock solenoid and park position switch, reverse removal procedure.
