Normal Operation

Under normal operation, when the ignition switch is in the RUN or ACCESSORY position, voltage is supplied to the wiper run/park relay coil through circuit CBP45 (YE). The wiper run/park coil is grounded at all times through circuit GD120 (BK/GN). High current voltage is supplied to the wiper run/park relay through circuit SBB03 (BU/RD). When the wiper run/park relay is activated it supplies voltage to the front windshield wiper motor through circuit CRW03 (VT/WH). The front windshield wiper motor is grounded through circuits GD123 (BK/GY) and GD120 (BK/GN). The multi-function switch is grounded through circuit GD111 (BK/BU). The front windshield wiper motor receives open and ground inputs from the multi-function switch through circuits CRW17 (GN/VT), CRW18 (VT/WH), CRW19 (BU/OG) and CRW08 (VT/OG) to activate the wipers to the appropriate modes.

This pinpoint test is intended to diagnose the following

  1. Fuse(s)
  2. Relay
  3. Wiring, terminals or connectors
  4. Multi-function switch
  5. Windshield wiper motor

  1. A1 CHECK CIRCUIT CRW03 (VT/WH) FOR VOLTAGE Disconnect: Wiper Motor C125 Key in ON position. Measure the voltage between windshield wiper motor C125-5, circuit CRW03 (VT/WH), harness side and ground; and between windshield wiper motor C125-8, circuit CRW03 (VT/WH), harness side and ground. Are the voltages greater than 10 volts? YES : Go to A6 . NO : Go to A2 .
  2. A2 CHECK THE WIPER RUN/PARK RELAY Key in OFF position. Disconnect: Wiper Run/Park Relay Carry out the Wiper Run/Park Relay Component Test. Refer to appropriate COMPONENT TESTING article article. Did the wiper run/park relay pass the component test? YES : Go to A3 . NO : INSTALL a new wiper run/park relay. TEST the system for normal operation.
  3. A3 CHECK CIRCUIT CBP45 (YE) FOR VOLTAGE Key in ON position. Measure the voltage between wiper run/park relay pin 85, circuit CBP45 (YE), harness side and ground. Is the voltage greater than 10 volts? YES : Go to A4 . NO : VERIFY smart junction box (SJB) fuse 45 (5A) is OK. If OK, REPAIR the circuit. TEST the system for normal operation.
  4. A4 CHECK CIRCUIT SBB03 (BU/RD) FOR VOLTAGE Measure the voltage between wiper run/park relay pin 30, circuit SBB03 (BU/RD), harness side and ground. Is the voltage greater than 10 volts? YES : Go to A5 . NO : VERIFY battery junction box (BJB) fuse 3 (30A) is OK. If OK, REPAIR the circuit. TEST the system for normal operation.
  5. A5 CHECK WIPER RUN/PARK CIRCUIT GD120 (BK/GN) FOR GROUND Measure the resistance between wiper run/park relay pin 86, circuit GD120 (BK/GN), and ground. Is the resistance less than 5 ohms? YES : REPAIR open in circuit CRW03 (VT/WH). TEST the system for normal operation. NO : REPAIR open in circuit GD120 (BK/GN). TEST the system for normal operation.
  6. A6 CHECK CIRCUITS GD123 (BK/GY) AND GD120 (BK/GN) FOR AN OPEN Key in OFF position. Measure the resistance between windshield wiper C125-6, circuit GD120 (BK/GN), harness side and ground; and between windshield wiper motor C125-3, circuit GD123 (BK/GY), harness side and ground. Are the resistances less than 5 ohms? YES : Go to A7 . NO : REPAIR the circuit(s). TEST the system for normal operation.
  7. A7 CHECK THE WIPER SWITCH Disconnect: Multi-Function Switch C202 Carry out the Multi-Function Switch Component Test. Refer to appropriate COMPONENT TESTING article. Did the multi-function switch pass the component test? YES : Go to A8 . NO : INSTALL a new multi-function switch. REFER to «STEERING COLUMN SWITCHES»(ref-293477) article.
  8. A8 CHECK CIRCUIT GD111 (BK/BU) FOR AN OPEN Measure the resistance between multi-function switch C202-15, circuit GD111 (BK/BU), harness side and ground. Is the resistance less than 5 ohms? YES : Go to A9 . NO : REPAIR the circuit. TEST the system for normal operation.
  9. A9 CHECK FOR A SHORT IN THE WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR HARNESS Measure the resistance at the windshield wiper motor electrical connector between the circuits shown in the table. Windshield Wiper Motor C125 Windshield Wiper Motor C125 Pin 10, circuit CRW19 (BU/OG) Pin 11, circuit CRW18 (VT/WH) Pin 1, circuit CRW08 (VT/OG) Pin 9, circuit CRW17 (GN/VT) Pin 11, circuit CRW18 (VT/WH) Pin 1, circuit CRW08 (VT/OG) Pin 9, circuit CRW17 (GN/VT) Pin 1, circuit CRW08 (VT/OG) Pin 9, circuit CRW17 (GN/VT) Is the resistance greater than 10,000 ohms for all measurements? YES : Go to A10 . NO : REPAIR the circuit. TEST the system for normal operation.
  10. A10 CHECK FOR CORRECT WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR OPERATION Disconnect all windshield wiper motor connectors. Check for: corrosion. pushed-out pins. Connect all the windshield wiper motor connectors and make sure they seat correctly. Operate the system and verify the concern is still present. Is the concern still present? YES : INSTALL a new windshield wiper motor. REFER to «Wiper Motor - Windshield»(ref-293471-S28456049312008080700000) . NO : The system is operating correctly at this time. Concern may have been caused by a loose or corroded connector. TEST the system for normal operation.

Under normal operation, when the ignition switch is in the RUN or ACCESSORY position, voltage is supplied to the rear wiper relay coil through circuit CBP45 (YE). The rear wiper relay coil is grounded at all times through circuit GD120 (BK/GN). High current voltage is supplied to the rear wiper relay through circuit SBB25 (RD). When the rear wiper relay is activated it supplies voltage to the rear wiper motor through circuit CRW02 (GY/BU). The rear window wiper motor is grounded through circuit GD147 (BK/VT). The rear window wiper motor receives open and ground inputs from the multi-function switch through circuits CRW20 (GY/YE) and CRW21 (YE/VT) to activate the wiper to the appropriate modes. The multi-function switch supplies a ground input to the rear wiper motor on CRW21 (YE/VT) when INT 1 is selected. The multi-function switch supplies ground to the rear wiper motor on CRW21 (YE/VT) and CRW20 (GY/YE) when INT 2 is selected. The rear window wiper motor has a safety override which stops the rear wiper motor if it is operating when the liftgate is opened. The smart junction box (SJB) supplies a ground signal to the rear window wiper motor through circuit CPL58 (GY/OG) when the liftgate is closed. When the liftgate is opened, the SJB removes the ground signal and the rear window wiper motor stops until the liftgate is closed.

This pinpoint test is intended to diagnose the following

  1. Fuse(s)
  2. Wiring, terminals or connectors
  3. Multi-function switch
  4. Rear window wiper motor

Under normal operation, the windshield wiper motor receives open and ground inputs from the multi-function switch through circuits CRW17 (GN/VT), CRW18 (VT/WH), CRW19 (BU/OG) and CRW08 (VT/OG) to activate the wipers to the appropriate speeds.

This pinpoint test is intended to diagnose the following

  1. Wiring, terminals or connectors
  2. Multi-function switch
  3. Windshield wiper motor

Scheme 7: PINPOINT TEST C: THE WIPERS STAY ON CONTINUOUSLY - WINDSHIELD
  1. C1 CHECK THE MULTI-FUNCTION SWITCH Key in OFF position. Disconnect: Multi-Function Switch C202 Carry out the Multi-Function Switch Component Test. Refer to appropriate COMPONENT TESTING article. Did the multi-function switch pass the component test? YES : Go to C2 . NO : INSTALL a new multi-function switch. REFER to «STEERING COLUMN SWITCHES»(ref-293477) article.
  2. C2 CHECK CIRCUITS CRW19 (BU/OG), CRW18 (VT/WH), CRW08 (VT/OG) AND CRW17 (GN/VT) FOR A SHORT TO GROUND Disconnect: Windshield Wiper Motor C125 Using the following table, measure the resistance between windshield wiper motor C125 harness side and ground: Windshield Wiper Motor C125 Ground Pin 10, circuit CRW19 (BU/OG) Ground Pin 11, circuit CRW18 (VT/WH) Ground Pin 1, circuit CRW08 (VT/OG) Ground Pin 9, circuit CRW17 (GN/VT) Ground Is the resistance greater than 10,000 ohms? YES : Go to C3 . NO : REPAIR the circuit(s) in question. TEST the system for normal operation.
  3. C3 CHECK FOR CORRECT WIPER MOTOR OPERATION Disconnect all wiper motor connectors. Check for: corrosion. pushed-out pins. Connect all wiper motor connectors and make sure they seat correctly. Operate the system and verify the concern is still present. Is the concern still present? YES : INSTALL a new windshield wiper motor. REFER to «Wiper Motor - Windshield»(ref-293471-S28456049312008080700000) . NO : The system is operating correctly at this time. Concern may have been caused by a loose or corroded connector. TEST the system for normal operation.

Under normal operation, the rear window wiper motor receives open and ground inputs from the multi-function switch through circuits CRW20 (GY/YE) and CRW21 (YE/VT) to activate the wiper to the appropriate modes. The multi-function switch supplies a ground input to the rear wiper motor on CRW21 (YE/VT) when INT 1 is selected. The multi-function switch supplies ground to the rear wiper motor on CRW21 (YE/VT) and CRW20 (GY/YE) when INT 2 is selected.

This pinpoint test is intended to diagnose the following

  1. Wiring, terminals or connectors
  2. Rear window wiper motor
  3. Multi-function switch

Scheme 8: PINPOINT TEST D: THE WIPERS STAY ON CONTINUOUSLY - REAR WINDOW
  1. D1 CHECK THE MULTI-FUNCTION SWITCH Key in OFF position. Disconnect: Multi-Function Switch C202 Carry out the Multi-Function Switch Component Test. Refer to appropriate COMPONENT TESTING article. Did the multi-function switch pass the component test? YES : Go to D2 . NO : INSTALL a new multi-function switch. REFER to «STEERING COLUMN SWITCHES»(ref-293477) article.
  2. D2 CHECK CIRCUITS CRW20 (GY/YE) AND CRW21 (YE/VT) FOR A SHORT TO GROUND Disconnect: Rear Window Wiper Motor C476 Measure the resistance between rear window wiper motor C476-7, circuit CRW20 (GY/YE), harness side and ground; and between rear window wiper motor C476-2, circuit CRW21 (YE/VT), harness side and ground. Are the resistances greater than 10,000 ohms? YES : Go to D3 . NO : REPAIR the circuit(s) in question. TEST the system for normal operation.
  3. D3 CHECK FOR CORRECT WIPER MOTOR OPERATION Disconnect all wiper motor connectors. Check for: corrosion. pushed-out pins. Connect all wiper motor connectors and make sure they seat correctly. Operate the system and verify the concern is still present. Is the concern still present? YES : INSTALL a new rear window wiper motor. REFER to «Wiper Motor - Rear Window»(ref-293471-S28648391642008080700000) . NO : The system is operating correctly at this time. Concern may have been caused by a loose or corroded connector. TEST the system for normal operation.

Under normal operation, the windshield wiper motor receives open and ground inputs from the multi-function switch through circuits CRW17 (GN/VT), CRW18 (VT/WH), CRW19 (BU/OG) and CRW08 (VT/OG) to activate the wipers to the appropriate speeds.

Scheme 11: PINPOINT TEST F: THE INTERMITTENT WIPER SPEED DOES NOT OPERATE CORRECTLY - REAR WINDOW
  1. F1 VERIFY REAR WASHER PUMP OPERATION Key in ON position. Activate the rear washer pump. Does the rear washer pump activate? YES : Go to F2 . NO : Go to «Pinpoint Test H»(ref-293471-S27962970712008080700000) to diagnose the inoperative washer pump.
  2. F2 CHECK THE MULTI-FUNCTION SWITCH Key in OFF position. Disconnect: Multi-Function Switch C202 Carry out the Multi-Function Switch Component Test. Refer to appropriate COMPONENT TESTING article. Did the multi-function switch pass the component test? YES : Go to F3 . NO : INSTALL a new multi-function switch. REFER to «STEERING COLUMN SWITCHES»(ref-293477) article.
  3. F3 CHECK FOR A SHORT BETWEEN CIRCUITS CRW20 (GY/YE) AND CRW21 (YE/VT) Measure the resistance between rear window wiper motor C476-7, circuit CRW20 (GY/YE), harness side and rear window wiper motor C476-2, circuit CRW21 (YE/VT), harness side. Is the resistance greater than 10,000 ohms? YES : Go to F4 . NO : REPAIR the circuit. TEST the system for normal operation.
  4. F4 CHECK FOR CORRECT WIPER MOTOR OPERATION Disconnect all wiper motor connectors. Check for: liftgate open. corrosion. pushed-out pins. Connect all wiper motor connectors and make sure they seat correctly. Operate the system and verify the concern is still present. Is the concern still present? YES : INSTALL a new rear window wiper motor. REFER to «Wiper Motor - Rear Window»(ref-293471-S28648391642008080700000) . NO : The system is operating correctly at this time. Concern may have been caused by a loose or corroded connector. TEST the system for normal operation.

Under normal operation, the multi-function switch provides input to the windshield wiper motor through circuit CRW07 (GY/BN) to activate the windshield washer. The windshield wiper motor activates the internal relay and then provides power to the washer pump through circuit CRW14 (BU/WH). The washer pump is grounded through circuit GD120 (BK/GN).

This pinpoint test is intended to diagnose the following

  1. Wiring, terminals or connectors
  2. Multi-function switch
  3. Washer pump motor
  4. Windshield wiper motor

  1. H1 CHECK CIRCUIT GD120 (BK/GN) FOR GROUND Disconnect: Washer Pump Motor C137 Key in OFF position. Measure the resistance between washer pump motor C137-1, circuit GD120 (BK/GN) harness side and ground. Is the resistance less than 5 ohms? YES : Go to H2 . NO : REPAIR the circuit. TEST the system for normal operation.
  2. H2 CHECK CIRCUIT CRW14 (BU/WH) FOR VOLTAGE Key in ON position. Measure the voltage between washer pump motor C137-2, circuit CRW14 (BU/WH) harness side and ground while depressing the multi-function switch to the wash position. Is the voltage greater than 10 volts? YES : INSTALL a new washer pump. REFER to «Washer Pump»(ref-293471-S11367864892008080700000) . NO : Go to H3 .
  3. H3 CHECK THE MULTI-FUNCTION SWITCH Disconnect: Multi-Function Switch C202 Carry out the Multi-Function Switch Component Test. Refer to appropriate COMPONENT TESTING article. Did the multi-function switch pass the component test? YES : Go to H4 . NO : INSTALL a new multi-function switch. REFER to «STEERING COLUMN SWITCHES»(ref-293477) article. TEST the system for normal operation.
  4. H4 CHECK CIRCUIT CRW07 (GY/BN) FOR AN OPEN OR SHORT TO GROUND Measure the resistance between windshield wiper motor C125-12, circuit CRW07 (GY/BN) harness side and multi-function switch C202-10, circuit CRW07 (GY/BN) harness side; and between multi-function switch C202-10, circuit CRW07 (GY/BN) harness side and ground. Is the resistance less than 5 ohms between multi-function switch and wiper motor; and greater than 10,000 ohms between multi-function switch and ground? YES : Go to H5 . NO : REPAIR the circuit. TEST the system for normal operation.
  5. H5 CHECK CIRCUIT CRW14 (BU/WH) FOR AN OPEN Key in OFF position. Disconnect: Windshield Wiper Motor C125 Measure the resistance between windshield wiper motor C125-7, circuit CRW14 (BU/WH), harness side and washer pump motor C137-2, circuit CRW14 (BU/WH) harness side. Is the resistance less than 5 ohms? YES : Go to H6 . NO : REPAIR the circuit. TEST the system for normal operation.
  6. H6 CHECK THE WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR Disconnect all wiper motor connectors. Check for: corrosion. pushed-out pins. Connect all wiper motor connectors and make sure they seat correctly. Operate the system and verify the concern is still present. Is the concern still present? YES : INSTALL a new windshield wiper motor. REFER to «Wiper Motor - Windshield»(ref-293471-S28456049312008080700000) . TEST the system for normal operation. NO : REPAIR the circuit. TEST the system for normal operation.

Under normal operation, the washer pump motor is grounded through internal relays in the wiper motors using circuits CRW14 (BU/WH), GD120 (BK/GN) and GD133 (BK). The multi-function switch provides input to the windshield wiper motor through circuit CRW07 (GY/BN) to activate the windshield washer. The windshield wiper motor activates the internal relay and then provides power to the washer pump through circuit CRW14 (BU/WH). The multi-function switch provides input to the rear window wiper motor through circuit CRW20 (GY/YE) to activate the rear window washer. When the rear window washer is activated, the internal relay in the rear window wiper motor provides power through circuit GD120 (BK/GN).

This pinpoint test is intended to diagnose the following

  1. Wiring, terminals or connectors
  2. Multi-function switch
  3. Washer pump motor
  4. Windshield wiper motor
  5. Rear window wiper motor

  1. I1 CHECK CIRCUIT CRW14 (BU/WH) FOR GROUND Disconnect: Washer Pump Motor C137 Key in ON position. Measure the resistance between washer pump motor C137-2, circuit CRW14 (BU/WH) harness side and ground. Is the resistance less than 5 ohms? YES : Go to I3 . NO : Go to I2 .
  2. I2 CHECK CIRCUIT CRW14 (BU/WH) FOR AN OPEN Key in OFF position. Disconnect: Windshield Wiper Motor C125 Measure the resistance between windshield wiper motor C125-7, circuit CRW14 (BU/WH), harness side and washer pump motor C137-2, circuit CRW14 (BU/WH) harness side. Is the resistance less than 5 ohms? YES : Go to I14 . NO : REPAIR the circuit. TEST the system for normal operation.
  3. I3 CHECK CIRCUIT GD120 (BK/GN) FOR GROUND Measure the resistance between washer pump motor C137-1, circuit GD120 (BK/GN) harness side and ground. Is the resistance less than 5 ohms? YES : Go to I6 . NO : Go to I4 .
  4. I4 CHECK CIRCUIT GD120 (BK/GN) FOR AN OPEN Key in OFF position. Disconnect: Rear Window Wiper Motor C476 Measure the resistance between rear window wiper motor C476-6, circuit GD120 (BK/GN), harness side and washer pump motor C137-1, circuit GD120 (BK/GN) harness side. Is the resistance less than 5 ohms? YES : Go to I5 . NO : REPAIR the circuit. TEST the system for normal operation.
  5. I5 CHECK CIRCUIT GD133 (BK) FOR AN OPEN Measure the resistance between rear window wiper motor C476-5, circuit GD133 (BK), harness side and ground. Is the resistance less than 5 ohms? YES : Go to I15 . NO : REPAIR the circuit. TEST the system for normal operation.
  6. I6 CHECK CIRCUIT CRW14 (BU/WH) FOR VOLTAGE Key in ON position. Measure the voltage between washer pump motor C137-2, circuit CRW14 (BU/WH) harness side and ground while depressing the multi-function switch to the wash position. Is the voltage greater than 10 volts? YES : Go to I10 . NO : Go to I7 .
  7. I7 CHECK CIRCUIT CRW14 (BU/WH) FOR A SHORT TO GROUND Key in OFF position. Disconnect: Windshield Wiper Motor C125 Measure the resistance between washer pump motor C137-2, circuit CRW14 (BU/WH) harness side and ground. Is the resistance greater than 10,000 ohms? YES : Go to I8 . NO : REPAIR the circuit. TEST the system for normal operation.
  8. I8 CHECK THE MULTI-FUNCTION SWITCH Disconnect: Multi-Function Switch C202 Carry out the Multi-Function Switch Component Test. Refer to appropriate COMPONENT TESTING article. Did the multi-function switch pass the component test? YES : Go to I9 . NO : INSTALL a new multi-function switch. REFER to «STEERING COLUMN SWITCHES»(ref-293477) article. TEST the system for normal operation.
  9. I9 CHECK CIRCUIT CRW07 (GY/BN) FOR AN OPEN OR SHORT TO GROUND Measure the resistance between windshield wiper motor C125-12, circuit CRW07 (GY/BN) harness side and multi-function switch C202-10, circuit CRW07 (GY/BN) harness side; and between multi-function switch C202-10, circuit CRW07 (GY/BN) harness side and ground. Is the resistance less than 5 ohms between multi-function switch and wiper motor; and greater than 10,000 ohms between multi-function switch and ground? YES : Go to I14 . NO : REPAIR the circuit. TEST the system for normal operation.
  10. I10 CHECK CIRCUIT GD120 (BK/GN) FOR VOLTAGE Measure the voltage between washer pump motor C137-1, circuit GD120 (BK/GN) harness side and ground while depressing the multi-function switch to the rear wash position. Is the voltage greater than 10 volts? YES : INSTALL a new washer pump. TEST the system for normal operation. NO : Go to I11 .
  11. I11 CHECK CIRCUIT GD120 (BK/GN) FOR A SHORT TO GROUND Key in OFF position. Disconnect: Rear Window Wiper Motor C476 Measure the resistance between washer pump motor C137-1, circuit GD120 (BK/GN) harness side and ground. Is the resistance greater than 10,000 ohms? YES : Go to I12 . NO : REPAIR the circuit. TEST the system for normal operation.
  12. I12 CHECK THE MULTI-FUNCTION SWITCH Disconnect: Multi-Function Switch C202 Carry out the Multi-Function Switch Component Test. Refer to appropriate COMPONENT TESTING article. Did the multi-function switch pass the component test? YES : Go to I13 . NO : INSTALL a new multi-function switch. REFER to «STEERING COLUMN SWITCHES»(ref-293477) article. TEST the system for normal operation.
  13. I13 CHECK CIRCUIT CRW20 (GY/YE) FOR AN OPEN OR SHORT TO GROUND Measure the resistance between rear window wiper motor C476-7, circuit CRW20 (GY/YE) harness side and multi-function switch C202-14, circuit CRW20 (GY/YE) harness side; and between multi-function switch C202-14, circuit CRW20 (GY/YE) harness side and ground. Is the resistance less than 5 ohms between multi-function switch and wiper motor; and greater than 10,000 ohms between multi-function switch and ground? YES : Go to I15 . NO : REPAIR the circuit. TEST the system for normal operation.
  14. I14 CHECK THE WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR Disconnect all wiper motor connectors. Check for: corrosion. pushed-out pins. Connect all wiper motor connectors and make sure they seat correctly. Operate the system and verify the concern is still present. Is the concern still present? YES : INSTALL a new windshield wiper motor.   15. I15 CHECK THE REAR WINDOW WIPER MOTOR Disconnect all wiper motor connectors. Check for: liftgate open. corrosion. pushed-out pins. Connect all wiper motor connectors and make sure they seat correctly. Operate the system and verify the concern is still present. Is the concern still present? YES : INSTALL a new rear window wiper motor. REFER to «Wiper Motor - Rear Window»(ref-293471-S28648391642008080700000) . TEST the system for normal operation. NO : REPAIR the circuit. TEST the system for normal operation.

If equipped with automatic headlamps, the smart junction box (SJB) will illuminate the exterior lamps, including the parking lamps, when the front wipers are on for more than 10 seconds. The SJB monitors the front wiper motor on circuit CRW22 (WH/BU).

  1. DTC B2008 Wipers On Signal Circuit Short to Ground - Short to ground on wiper motor on input circuit.

This pinpoint test is intended to diagnose the following

  1. Wiring, terminals or connectors
  2. Windshield wiper motor
  3. SJB

  1. J1 CHECK CIRCUIT CRW22 (WH/BU) FOR VOLTAGE Disconnect: Windshield Wiper Motor C125 Key in ON position. Measure the voltage between windshield wiper motor C125-2 circuit CRW22 (WH/BU), harness side and ground. Is the voltage approximately 5 volts? YES : INSTALL a new windshield wiper motor. REFER to «Wiper Motor - Windshield»(ref-293471-S28456049312008080700000) . TEST the system for normal operation. NO : Go to J2 .
  2. J2 CHECK CIRCUIT CRW22 (WH/BU) FOR AN OPEN OR SHORT TO GROUND Key in OFF position. Disconnect: SJB C2280F Measure the resistance between SJB C2280F-8 circuit CRW22 (WH/BU), harness side and windshield wiper motor C125-2 circuit CRW22 (WH/BU); then between SJB C2280F-8 circuit CRW22 (WH/BU), harness side and ground. Is the resistance less than 5 ohms between the SJB and windshield wiper motor and greater than 10,000 ohms between the SJB and ground? YES : Go to J3 . NO : REPAIR the circuit. TEST the system for normal operation.
  3. J3 CHECK FOR CORRECT MODULE OPERATION Disconnect all the SJB connectors. Check for: corrosion. pushed-out pins. Connect all the SJB connectors and make sure they are seated correctly. Operate the system and verify the concern is still present. Is the concern still present? YES : INSTALL a new SJB. REFER to «MULTIFUNCTION ELECTRONIC MODULES»(ref-293473) article. CLEAR the DTCs. REPEAT the SJB self-test. NO : The system is operating correctly at this time. Concern may have been caused by a loose or corroded connector. CLEAR the DTCs. REPEAT the self-test.
