Removal & Installation
Disconnect negative battery cable. Insert radio removing tool into radio face plate and release retaining clips. Pull outward on tool to remove radio from instrument panel. Remove 2 screws and remove center instrument panel finish panel. Remove GEM. To install, reverse removal procedure.
Removal & Installation (Front)
- Lower glass to full down position. Remove door trim panel. Raise glass to full up position and support glass. Disconnect negative battery cable. Disconnect inside front door handle and rod. Disconnect window motor connector. If equipped, remove equalizer bracket nuts.
- Drill out 3 rivets holding regulator/motor assembly. Remove nut and remove regulator/motor assembly. Ensure regulator arm is in fixed position to prevent counterbalance spring from unwinding. Remove motor from regulator/motor assembly. To install, reverse procedure. Cycle window to ensure engagement of drive mechanism.
Removal & Installation (Rear)
- Lower glass to full down position. Remove rear door trim panel. Remove rear inside door handle. Remove speaker and watershield. Raise and support glass in full up position. Disconnect negative battery cable. Disconnect window motor electrical connector.
- Drill out 3 window regulator rivets. Slide regulator arms off window glass track and remove regulator/motor assembly. Ensure regulator arm is in fixed position to prevent counterbalance spring from unwinding. Remove motor from regulator/motor assembly. To install, reverse procedure. Cycle window to ensure engagement of drive mechanism.
Disconnect negative battery cable. Remove door trim panel. Remove 4 screws holding wiring connector to switch plate. Using thin-blade screwdriver, carefully pry connector from switch. Remove window switch by carefully prying on release tabs. To install, reverse removal procedure.
Disconnect negative battery cable. Remove 2 screws securing switch plate to door trim. Remove screws holding wiring connector to switch plate. Using thin-blade screwdriver, carefully pry release tabs and remove switch. To install, reverse removal procedure.
