AUTO LEVELING WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATES - POSSIBLE CAUSE

STEPINSPECTIONACTION
1VERIFY THAT THE FRONT AND REAR AUTO LEVELING SENSOR INSTALLATION Verify that the front and rear auto leveling sensor installation. Is there any bend, damage or dislocated link at the bracket?YesRepair or replace malfunctioning part.
NoGo to the next step.
2INSPECT AUTO LEVELING CONTROL MODULE POWER SUPPLY VOLTAGE Turn the ignition switch to ON position. Measure the voltage between auto leveling control module terminals H and GND. Is the voltage B+ ?YesGo to the next step.
NoRepair or replace for open circuit between the auto leveling control module terminal H and the ignition switch.
3INSPECT AUTO LEVELING CONTROL MODULE GND CIRCUIT FOR OPEN Turn the ignition switch to OFF. Disconnect the auto leveling control module connector. Verify that continuity between auto leveling control module terminal F and GND. Is there continuity?YesConnect the auto leveling control module connector, then go to Step 5.
NoGo to the next step.
4INSPECT GND POINT Verify that the GND point for auto leveling control module. Is there loose or poor connection at GND point?YesRetighten the GND point.
NoRepair or replace for open circuit between auto leveling control module terminal F and GND.
5INSPECT IF MALFUNCTION IS IN AUTO LEVELING SENSOR OR ELSEWHERE Turn the ignition switch to ON position Turn the headlight to ON. Measure voltage between auto leveling control module terminal G and GND Is the voltage 0.25-4.75 V ?YesGo to the next step.
NoGo to Step 9.
6INSPECT IF MALFUNCTION IS IN REAR AUTO LEVELING SENSOR OR ELSEWHERE Turn the ignition switch to ON position. Turn the headlight to ON. Measure voltage between auto leveling control module terminal E and GND. Is the voltage 0.25-4.75 V ?YesGo to Step 11.
NoGo to the next step.
7INSPECT REAR AUTO LEVELING SENSOR SIGNAL CIRCUIT Inspect the wiring harness between rear auto leveling control module terminal E and auto leveling sensor terminal C. Is there open or short circuit detected?YesRepair or replace for open or short circuit.
NoGo to the next step.
8INSPECT REAR AUTO LEVELING SENSOR Inspect the rear auto leveling sensor. (See REAR AUTO LEVELING SENSOR INSPECTION .) Is the rear auto leveling sensor normal?YesRepair or replace for open circuit at following. Between auto leveling control module terminal M and rear auto leveling sensor terminal A Between auto leveling control module terminal D and rear auto leveling sensor terminal C
NoReplace the rear auto leveling sensor. (See REAR AUTO LEVELING SENSOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
9INSPECT IF MALFUNCTION IS IN AUTO LEVELING SENSOR POWER OR GND CIRCUIT OR ELSEWHERE Turn the ignition switch to ON position. Turn the headlight to ON. Measure voltage between auto leveling control module terminal E and GND. Is the voltage 0.25-4.75 V ?YesGo to the next step.
NoRepair or replace for open circuit at following. Between auto leveling control module terminal M and front auto leveling sensor terminal A Between auto leveling control module terminal M and rear auto leveling sensor terminal A Between auto leveling control module terminal D and front auto leveling sensor terminal D Between auto leveling control module terminal D and rear auto leveling sensor terminal D
10INSPECT FRONT AUTO LEVELING SENSOR SIGNAL CIRCUIT Inspect the wiring harness between front auto leveling control module terminal E and auto leveling sensor terminal C. Is there open or short circuit detected?YesRepair or replace for open or short circuit.
NoInspect the front auto leveling sensor. If not normal, replace the front auto leveling sensor. (See FRONT AUTO LEVELING SENSOR INSPECTION .)
11INSPECT IF MALFUNCTION IS IN AUTO LEVELING WARNING LIGHT CONTROL CIRCUIT OR ELSEWHERE Turn the ignition switch to OFF. Disconnect the auto leveling control module and instrument cluster connectors. Verify continuity between auto leveling control module terminal E and GND. Is there continuity?YesRepair or replace for short to GND.
NoGo to the next step.
12INSPECT INSTRUMENT CLUSTER Inspect the auto leveling warning light using the instrument cluster input/output check mode. (See INSTRUMENT CLUSTER INSPECTION .) Is the check result normal?YesGo to the next step.
NoReplace the instrument cluster. (See INSTRUMENT CLUSTER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
13INSPECT IF MALFUNCTION IS IN VEHICLE SPEED SIGNAL CIRCUIT OR ELSEWHERE Turn the ignition switch to OFF. Disconnect the auto leveling control module connector. Turn the ignition switch to ON. Measure the voltage between auto leveling control module terminal R and GND. Is the voltage B+ ?YesRepair or replace for short to power supply.
NoReplace the auto leveling control module. (See AUTO LEVELING CONTROL MODULE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
