AUTO LEVELING DOES NOT ADJUST OPTICAL AXIS - POSSIBLE CAUSE

STEPINSPECTIONACTION
1VERIFY AUTO LEVELING WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATION Turn the ignition switch to ON position. Verify that the auto leveling warning light condition. Does the auto leveling warning light illuminate from turning the ignition switch to ON 3 seconds after?YesPerform the symptom "No. 1 Auto leveling warning light illuminates when the ignition switch turned to ON position" troubleshooting procedure.
NoGo to the next step.
2INSPECT IF MALFUNCTION IS IN AUTO LEVELING SENSOR OR ELSEWHERE Is the malfunction appears both side?YesGo to Step 5.
NoGo to the next step.
3INSPECT IF MALFUNCTION IS IN WIRING HARNESS BETWEEN AUTO LEVELING CONTROL MODULE AND HEADLIGHT LEVELING ACTUATOR Inspect for open or short circuit in wiring harness at auto leveling function does not operate. Right-side: Auto leveling control module terminal J-right-side headlight leveling actuator terminal F Auto leveling control module terminal I-right-side headlight leveling actuator terminal H Auto leveling control module terminal I-right-side headlight leveling actuator terminal G Left-side: Auto leveling control module terminal J-left-side headlight leveling actuator terminal F Auto leveling control module terminal I-left-side headlight leveling actuator terminal H Auto leveling control module terminal K-left-side headlight leveling actuator terminal G Is open or short circuit detected?YesRepair or replace for open or short circuit.
NoGo to the next step.
4INSPECT IF MALFUNCTION IS IN HEADLIGHT LEVELING ACTUATOR OR ELSEWHERE Replace the suspected side head light module. (See HEADLIGHT LEVELING ACTUATOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .) Does the auto leveling adjust optical axis of the headlights for vehicle posture?YesTroubleshooting completed. (Malfunction is in headlight leveling actuator.)
NoReplace the auto leveling control module. (See AUTO LEVELING CONTROL MODULE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
5INSPECT IF MALFUNCTION IS IN WIRING HARNESS BETWEEN AUTO LEVELING CONTROL MODULE AND HEADLIGHT LEVELING ACTUATOR Inspect for open or short circuit in wiring harness at auto leveling function does not operate. Right-side: Auto leveling control module terminal J-right-side headlight leveling actuator terminal F Auto leveling control module terminal I-right-side headlight leveling actuator terminal H Left-side: Auto leveling control module terminal J-left-side headlight leveling actuator terminal F Auto leveling control module terminal I-left-side headlight leveling actuator terminal H Is open or short circuit detected?YesRepair or replace for open or short circuit.
NoGo to the next step.
6INSPECT FRONT AND REAR AUTO LEVELING SENSOR INSTALLATION Inspect front and rear auto leveling sensor installation (bend or damaged of bracket, or dislocated link.) Are front and rear auto leveling sensor installed properly?YesGo to the next step.
NoRepair or replace malfunctioning part, or install properly.
7INSPECT FRONT AUTO LEVELING SENSOR Inspect the front auto leveling sensor. (See FRONT AUTO LEVELING SENSOR INSPECTION .) Is the front auto leveling sensor normal?YesGo to the next step.
NoReplace the front auto leveling sensor. (See FRONT AUTO LEVELING SENSOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
8INSPECT REAR AUTO LEVELING SENSOR Inspect the rear auto leveling sensor. (See REAR AUTO LEVELING SENSOR INSPECTION .) Is the rear auto leveling sensor normal?YesGo to the next step.
NoReplace the rear auto leveling sensor. (See REAR AUTO LEVELING SENSOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
9INSPECT IF MALFUNCTION IS IN VEHICLE SPEED SIGNAL LINE OR ELSEWHERE Turn the ignition to OFF. Disconnect the instrument cluster and auto leveling control module connectors. Verify that the continuity for following: Auto leveling control module terminal R-GND ( normal condition: not continuity ) Auto leveling control module terminal R-ABS HU/CM terminal V ( normal condition: continuity ) (with ABS) Auto leveling control module terminal R-DSC HU/CM terminal T ( normal condition: continuity ) (with DSC) Are there continuity normal?YesReplace the auto leveling control module. (See AUTO LEVELING CONTROL MODULE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
NoRepair or replace for open or short circuit.
