LIGHT SWITCH INSPECTION
- Remove the column cover. (See COLUMN COVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Remove the ignition key illumination. (See «IGNITION KEY ILLUMINATION BULB REMOVAL/INSTALLATION»(ref-178404-S09354952382005061500000) .)
- Remove the light switch. (See «LIGHT SWITCH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION»(ref-178404-S08197472842005061500000) .)
- Verify that the continuity between the light switch terminals is as indicated.

- If not as indicated, replace the light switch.

- Disconnect the negative battery cable.
- Disconnect the connector.
- Remove the screw and then remove the flasher control module.
- Install in the reverse order of removal.
FLASHER CONTROL MODULE INSPECTION
- Remove the flasher control module with the connector still connected.
- Measure the voltage at each terminal (other than terminal F). If the voltage is not as specified in the «TERMINAL VOLTAGE TABLE (REFERENCE)»(ref-178404-S27388190292005061500000) .
- Disconnect the flasher control module connector.
- Verify that continuity at terminal F is as indicated in the «TERMINAL VOLTAGE TABLE (REFERENCE)»(ref-178404-S27388190292005061500000) . If there is any malfunction, inspect the parts under "Inspection item(s)". If the system does not work properly even though the parts or related wiring harnesses do not have any malfunction, replace the flasher control module.

- Disconnect the negative battery cable.
- Disconnect the connectors.
- Remove the screw and then remove the DRL control module.
- Install in the reverse order of removal.

DRL CONTROL MODULE INSPECTION
- Connect the connector to the DRL control module.
- Connect the negative battery cable.
- Measure the voltage at the DRL control module using voltmeter. When inspecting terminal 1B, 1D or 2D for continuity, disconnect the DRL control module connector.
- If the value are not as specified in the Terminal Voltage List (Reference), inspect the parts under "Inspection item(s)" and related wiring harnesses.
- If the system does not work properly even though the parts or related wiring harnesses do not have any malfunction, replace the DRL control module.

- Disconnect the negative battery cable.
- Remove the screws.
- Remove the map light. (See «MAP LIGHT REMOVAL NOTE»(ref-178404-S21740507422005061500000) .)
- Disconnect the connector.
- Remove the socket, then remove the map light bulb.
- Install in the reverse order of removal.

- Insert a tape-wrapped Flathead screwdriver into the gap between the headliner and the map light.
- Press the tab, and remove the map light.

- Verify that the continuity between the map light terminals is as indicated in the figure. (Scheme 20) If not as indicated, replace the map light.

- Disconnect the negative battery cable.
- Remove the socket, then remove the glove compartment light bulb.
- Install in the reverse order of removal.

- Disconnect the negative battery cable.
- Remove the lens, then remove the courtesy light bulb.
- Install in the reverse order of removal.

- Disconnect the negative battery cable.

- Remove the interior light bulb.
- Remove the interior light. (See «INTERIOR LIGHT REMOVAL NOTE»(ref-178404-S30006933752005061500000) .)
- Disconnect the connector.
- Install in the reverse order of removal.

- Insert a tape-wrapped Flathead screwdriver into the gap between the headliner and the interior light.
- Press the tab, and remove the interior light.

- Insert a tape-wrapped Flathead screwdriver into the service hole and pry with the screwdriver in the direction shown by the arrow to remove the lens.

- Remove the interior light. (See «INTERIOR LIGHT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION»(ref-178404-S41164716852005061500000).)
- Verify that the continuity between the interior light terminals. (Scheme 27) If not as indicated, replace the interior light.

- Disconnect the negative battery cable.
- Remove the lens, then remove the trunk compartment light bulb.
- Install in the reverse order of removal.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT LIGHT SWITCH INSPECTION
Note. The trunk compartment light switch is built into the trunk lock.

- Remove the trunk lid trim. (See TRUNK LID TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.
- Disconnect the trunk compartment light switch connector.
- Verify that the continuity between the trunk compartment light switch terminals is as indicated. (Scheme 30) If not as indicated, replace the trunk lock.

- Disconnect the negative battery cable.
- Remove the ashtray panel. (See CONSOLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Remove the socket, then remove the ashtray illumination bulb.
- Install in the reverse order of removal.

- Disconnect the negative battery cable.
- Remove the column cover. (See COLUMN COVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Remove the ignition key illumination bulb.
- Install in the reverse order of removal.

- Remove the vanity mirror illumination bulb.
- Install in the reverse order of removal.

- Insert a tape-wrapped Flathead screwdriver into the service hole and pry with the screwdriver in the direction shown by the arrow to remove the lens.

- Disconnect the negative battery cable.
- Remove the panel light control switch. (See «PANEL LIGHT CONTROL SWITCH REMOVAL NOTE»(ref-178404-S35766140182005061500000) .)
- Disconnect the connector.
- Install in the reverse order of removal.
PANEL LIGHT CONTROL SWITCH INSPECTION
- Connect the panel light control switch connector.
- Connect the negative battery cable.
- Measure the voltage at each terminal (other than terminal D). If the voltage is not as specified in the «TERMINAL VOLTAGE TABLE (REFERENCE)»(ref-178404-S14842478172005061500000) , inspect the parts under "Inspection item(s)".
- Disconnect the panel light control switch connector.
- Verify that continuity at terminal D is as indicated in the «TERMINAL VOLTAGE TABLE (REFERENCE)»(ref-178404-S14842478172005061500000) . If there is any malfunction, inspect the parts under "Inspection item(s)". If the system does not work properly even though the parts or related wiring harnesses do not have any malfunction, replace the panel light control switch.

- Measure the wave pattern of panel light control switch terminals A and F using an oscilloscope. Oscilloscope setting: 5 V/DIV (Y), 5 MS/div (X), DC range
- Turn the light switch to the TENS or ON position.
- Turn the panel light control switch to the brightest setting.
- Verify that the wave pattern is as shown in the figure.
- Turn the panel light control switch to the darkest position and verify that the wave pattern is as shown in the figure.

- Disconnect the negative battery cable.
- Remove the screw.
- Disconnect the connector and remove the door switch.
- Install in the reverse order of removal.

- Verify that the continuity between door switch terminal and the body ground is as indicated. (Scheme 43) If not as indicated, replace the door switch.

- Disconnect the negative battery cable.
- Remove in the order indicated. (Scheme 45)
- Install in the reverse order of removal.

- Loosen the adjusting bolt until the headlight leveling actuator can be rotated.
- Rotate the headlight leveling actuator to the position shown in the figure.
- Loosen the adjusting bolt further and remove the headlight leveling actuator.
