REMOVAL & INSTALLATION

Note. For removal and installation of control panel and instrument panel, see MANUAL A/C-HEATER SYSTEMS - PROTEGE article.
Disconnect negative battery cable. Remove instrument panel and cooling unit (if equipped). Remove blower unit. To install, reverse removal procedure.
Disconnect negative battery cable. Remove glove box. Disconnect blower motor harness connector. Remove screws and blower motor. To install, reverse removal procedure.
Drain coolant. Remove instrument panel. Remove cooling unit (if equipped). Disconnect heater hose clamps and remove heater hoses. Remove nuts securing heater unit. Remove heater unit. Remove ducts from heater unit. Disassemble heater unit to remove heater core. see scheme 1 To install, reverse removal procedure.
