EVAPORATOR INSPECTION
- Inspect for cracks, damage, and oil leakage. If any are found, replace the evaporator.
- Inspect for bent fins. If any are bent, use a flathead screwdriver to straighten them.

- Disconnect the negative battery cable.

- Removal the seal plate.
- Remove in the order indicated in the figure.
- Install in the reverse order of removal.
- Refill the engine coolant. (See «ENGINE COOLANT REPLACEMENT»(ref-194426-S22983086202005092800000) .)

- Disassemble in the order indicated in the figure.
- Assemble in the reverse order of disassembly.
HEATER CORE INSPECTION
- Inspect for cracks, damage, and coolant leakage. If any are found, replace the heater core.
- Inspect for bent fins. If any are bent, use a flathead screwdriver to straighten them.
- Verify that the heater core inlet and outlet are not distorted or damaged. Repair with pliers if necessary.

- Discharge the refrigerant from the system. (See «REFRIGERANT CHARGING»(ref-194459-S17937427082005092800000) .)
- Disconnect the negative battery cable.
- Remove the under cover.
- Remove the drive belt (P/S+A/C). CAUTION: If moisture or foreign material enters the refrigeration cycle, cooling ability will be lowered and abnormal noise will occur. Always immediately plug all open fittings after removing any refrigeration cycle parts to keep moisture or foreign material out of the cycle.
- Remove in the order indicated in the figure. Do not allow compressor oil to spill.
- Install in the reverse order of removal.
- Adjust the drive belt (P/S+A/C). (See «DRIVE BELT ADJUSTMENT»(ref-194424-S20557753702005092800000) .)
- Perform refrigerant system Performance test. (See «REFRIGERANT SYSTEM PERFORMANCE TEST»(ref-194459-S36559232582005092800000) .)
CONDENSER INSPECTION
- Inspect for cracks, damage, and oil leakage. If any are found, replace the condenser.
- Inspect for fins clogged by dust. If any are clogged, remove the dust from the fins.
- Inspect for bent fins. If any are bent, use a flathead screwdriver to straighten them.

- Disconnect the negative battery cable.
- Remove the cooling fan. (See «RADIATOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION»(ref-194426-S12031945602005092800000) .)
- Remove the condenser fan. (See «CONDENSER FAN REMOVAL/INSTALLATION»(ref-194461-S13086997012005092800000) .)
- Remove the radiator brackets.
- Remove the air hose.
- Keep pushing the radiator fully backward to remove the condenser. CAUTION: If moisture or foreign material enters the refrigeration cycle, cooling ability will be lowered and abnormal noise will occur. Always immediately plug all open fittings after removing any refrigeration cycle parts to keep moisture or foreign material out of the cycle.
- Remove the splash shield.

- Install in the reverse order of removal.
