Removal & Installation (626)
Disconnect negative battery cable. Carefully pry switch from instrument panel. Disconnect harness connector and remove switch. To install, reverse removal procedure.
Removal & Installation (MX-5 Miata)
Disconnect negative battery cable. Remove lower instrument panel cover. Push mirror switch out from instrument panel. Disconnect harness connector. To install, reverse removal procedure.
Removal & Installation (Millenia & Protege)
Disconnect negative battery cable. Remove window crank (if equipped). Remove inner garnish at front of door frame. Remove inside pull handle. Remove door trim panel fasteners. Disengage door trim panel-to-door retaining clips. Disconnect any electrical connectors. Remove door trim panel from door. Remove switch plate from door panel. Remove switch from switch plate. To install, reverse removal procedure.
Removal & Installation (Millenia, Protege & 626)
Disconnect negative battery cable. Remove window crank (if equipped). Remove inner garnish at front of door frame. Remove inside pull handle. Remove door trim panel fasteners. Disengage door trim panel-to-door retaining clips. Disconnect any electrical connectors. Remove door trim panel from door. Remove power mirror screws. Disconnect harness connector. Remove power mirror assembly. To install, reverse removal procedure.
- Disconnect negative battery cable. Remove window crank (if equipped). Remove inside door handle pull cup. Remove door trim panel fasteners. Disengage door trim panel-to-door retaining clips. Disconnect any electrical connectors. Lift door trim panel to disengage hooks and remove from door. Remove speaker-to-door retaining screws. Pull speaker from door and disconnect electrical connector. Set speaker aside.
- Access power mirror electrical connector through speaker hole in door. Disconnect power mirror electrical connector. Turn power mirror forward to access mounting screws. Remove power mirror mounting screws. Remove power mirror assembly. To install, reverse removal procedure. When installing speaker, ensure speaker terminals face downward.
