1. Operate the windshield wiper motor to set the wiper in the park position.
2. Set the windshield wiper arms height as shown.

1. Remove in the order indicated in the figures.
2. Install in the reverse order of removal.

1. Clean the windshield wiper arm connector shafts using a wire brush before installing the windshield wiper arms.

2. Remove the cowl grille. (See COWL GRILLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
3. Pry off the connection between the windshield wiper motor and windshield wiper link.
4. Remove in the order indicated in the figures.
5. Install in the reverse order of removal.
6. Adjust the windshield wiper arm and blade. (See «WINDSHIELD WIPER ARM AND BLADE ADJUSTMENT»(ref-178065-S20265390332005061000000) .)

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the windshield wiper arm and blade. (See «WINDSHIELD WIPER ARM AND BLADE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION»(ref-178065-S40809185402005061000000) .)
3. Remove the cowl grille. (See COWL GRILLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
4. Pry off the connection between the windshield wiper motor and windshield wiper link.
5. Remove in the order indicated in the figures.
6. Install in the reverse order of removal.
7. Adjust the windshield wiper arm and blade. (See «WINDSHIELD WIPER ARM AND BLADE ADJUSTMENT»(ref-178065-S20265390332005061000000) .)

1. Disconnect the windshield wiper motor connector.
2. Connect battery positive voltage to terminal D or C and ground to terminal F, and inspect the operation of the windshield wiper motor as indicated.
3. Disconnect battery positive voltage from terminal D of the motor while the wipers are operating.
4. Verify that the wipers do not stop in the park position.
5. Short between the motor terminals B and D and connect battery positive voltage to the motor terminal A.
6. Verify that the wipers operate at low speed again, then stop in the park position. If not as specified, replace the windshield wiper motor.

1. Partially peel off the right side mud guard.
2. Remove in the order indicated in the figure.
3. Install in the reverse order of removal.

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Partially peel off the right side mud guard.
3. Remove the washer tank. (See «WASHER TANK REMOVAL/INSTALLATION»(ref-178065-S00875218072005061000000) .)
4. Remove in the order indicated in the figures.
5. Install in the reverse order of removal.

1. Remove the washer tank. (See «WASHER TANK REMOVAL/INSTALLATION»(ref-178065-S00875218072005061000000) .)
2. Connect battery positive voltage to the motor terminal B and ground to the motor terminal A.
3. Verify that the windshield washer motor operates. If the motor does not operate, replace the windshield washer motor.

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the column cover. (See COLUMN COVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
3. Remove in the order indicated in the figures.
4. Install in the reverse order of removal.

REAR WASHER NOZZLE CLEANING

1. Clean the rear washer nozzle. (See «WINDSHIELD WASHER NOZZLE CLEANING»(ref-178065-S37528510432005061000000) .)

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the headliner. (See HEADLINER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
3. Remove the rear washer hose from the clips.
4. Remove the door lock control module. (See DOOR LOCK CONTROL MODULE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
5. Remove the bolts mounting the PCM. (See PCM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
6. Remove the bolts mounting the blower unit. (See BLOWER UNIT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
7. Move the blower unit to the cooling unit side.
8. Remove the grommet of the rear washer hose.
9. Partially peel off the right side mud guard and remove the rear washer hose from the clip.
10. Remove the rear washer hose from the washer tank.
11. Install in the reverse order of removal.
