FRONT DRAIN HOSE INSTALLATION
| CAUTION | If the front drain hose is pinched or bent anywhere, the water in the hose may not discharge and enter the inside of the vehicle. During and after installation of the trims and the headliner, always make sure there is no interference with the front drain hose. Fix any problem if found. |
- Apply soapy water to the front drain hose inserting area.
- Insert one end (the wider end) of the front drain hose into the sunroof frame.
- Install the front drain hose to the clips parallel to the pillar and free of slack.
- Insert the front drain hose joint into the hinge pillar inner hole.
- Install the headliner. (Refer to HEADLINER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

- Remove the headliner. (See HEADLINER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Remove the rear side trim. (See REAR SIDE TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Disconnect the rear drain hose from the sunroof frame.
- Remove the rear drain hose from the clips.
- Pull the rear drain hose into the room side.
- Remove the rear drain hose.
REAR DRAIN HOSE INSTALLATION

- Apply soapy water to the rear drain hose inserting area.
- Insert one end (the wider side) of the rear drain hose into the sunroof frame.
- Install the rear drain hose to the clips parallel to the pillar and free of slack.
- Insert the rear drain hose joint into the rear pillar inner hole.
- Install the rear side trim. (See REAR SIDE TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Install the headliner. (See HEADLINER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)

- Disconnect the negative battery cable.
- Remove the headliner. (See HEADLINER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION. )
- Remove the glass panel. (See «GLASS PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION»(ref-178061-S22468479812005061000000) .)
- Disconnect the front and rear drain hose from the sunroof frame.
- Remove the roof harness from the sunroof frame.
- Remove the bolts and nuts, and then remove the sunroof unit.
- Install in the reverse order of removal.
- Adjust the glass panel. (See «GLASS PANEL ADJUSTMENT»(ref-178061-S32982565442005061000000) .)
Scheme 10
- Disconnect the negative battery cable.
- Remove the deflector.
- Remove the glass panel.
- Disassemble in the order indicated in the figure.
- Assemble in the reverse order of disassembly.

- Remove the screw.
- Slide the slider rearward, and remove it from the sunroof frame.

- Slide the guide rearward, and remove it from the sunroof frame.

- Set the pin in the decoration link.
Scheme 14
- Move the guide by hand until it comes to the front stopper.
- Move the guide by hand until center of pin comes between mark A and B.

- Disconnect the negative battery cable.
- Remove the headliner. (See HEADLINER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Disconnect the sunroof relay connector.
- Remove the screws, and then remove the sunroof motor.

- Remove the sunroof motor.
- Apply battery positive voltage to the sunroof motor terminals and inspect the operation of the sunroof motor. If not as specified, replace the sunroof motor.

- Remove the headliner. (See HEADLINER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Verify the glass panel position.
- Disconnect the connector.
- Inspect for continuity between the sunroof motor terminals using an ohmmeter. If not as specified, replace the sunroof motor.
Scheme 21
- Remove the sunroof unit. (See HEADLINER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Disconnect the connector.
- Remove the screw, and remove the sunroof relay.
- Install in the reverse order of removal.
For sliding sunroof system wiring diagrams, see POWER TOP/SUNROOF .
- Connect the sunroof switch connector.
- Connect the negative battery cable.
- Measure the voltage at the sunroof relay terminals as indicated.
- Disconnect the sunroof relay connector before inspecting for continuity at terminal 2N. If not as specified, inspect the parts listed under "Action" and the related wiring harnesses. If the parts and wiring harnesses are okay but the system still does work properly, replace the sunroof relay.

Note. The sunroof switch is together with the map light.
- Disconnect the negative battery cable.
- Remove the map light from the headliner. (See MAP LIGHT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Install in the reverse order of removal

- Remove the sunroof switch. (See MAP LIGHT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Inspect for continuity between the sunroof switch terminals using an ohmmeter. If not specified, replace the sunroof switch.
