Scheme 57: REFRIGERANT PRESSURE SENSOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION
- Disconnect the negative battery cable.
- Discharge the refrigerant. (See REFRIGERANT RECOVERY .) (See REFRIGERANT CHARGING .)
- Disconnect the refrigerant pressure sensor connector. CAUTION: If moisture or foreign material enters the refrigerant cycle, cooling ability will be lowered and abnormal noise will occur. Always immediately plug all open fittings after removing any refrigeration cycle parts to keep moisture or foreign material out of the cycle.
- Loosen the refrigerant pressure sensor using two spanners.
- Remove the refrigerant pressure sensor.
- Install in the reverse order of removal.
- Perform the refrigerant system performance test. (See REFRIGERANT SYSTEM PERFORMANCE TEST .)
Refrigerant Pressure Sensor Installation Note
- Apply compressor oil to O-ring and connect the joint.

- Install the manifold gauge.
- Verify the high-pressure side reading of the manifold gauge.
- Follow the PCM inspection when measuring the other terminal voltage. (See «PCM INSPECTION [MZI-3.7]»(ref-663049-S38461691912014101600000) ) Terminal GND: 1.0 V or less Terminal +5: Approx. 5 V (Ignition switch on) Terminal OUTPUT: Verify that below graph as measure the terminal If each voltage is not normal, inspect the related wiring harness. If there is any malfunction, replace the related wiring harness. If wiring harness is normal, replace the refrigerant pressure sensor.
