- Connect the M-MDS to the DLC-2.
- Expose the solar radiation sensor to natural sunlight. NOTE: If natural sunlight is not shone on the solar radiation sensor, the climate control unit determines a malfunction and indicates DTC "B1260, B1261".
- After the vehicle is identified, select the following items from the initialization screen of the M-MDS. When using the IDS (laptop PC) Select "Self Test". Select "Modules". Select "EATC". When using the PDS (Pocket PC) Select "Module Tests". Select "EATC". Select "Self Test".
- Verify the DTC according to the directions on the screen. If any DTCs are displayed, perform troubleshooting according to the corresponding DTC inspection.
- After completion of repairs, clear all DTCs stored in the climate control unit. (See «CLEARING DTC»(ref-375366-S14872743322010102800000) .)
A/C OPERATION CHECK MODE DISPLAY
- Connect the M-MDS to the DLC-2.
- After the vehicle is identified, select the following items from the initialization screen of the M-MDS. When using the IDS (laptop PC) Select the "Body". When using the PDS (Pocket PC) Select the "All Tests and Calibrations".
- Select the "EATC Operation Check".
- Perform the procedure according to the directions on the screen.
