DSC HU/CM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION
| CAUTION | The internal parts of the DSC HU/CM could be damaged if dropped. Be careful not to drop the DSC HU/CM. Replace the DSC HU/CM if it is subjected to an impact. If the DSC HU/CM configuration is not completed, the DSC will not operate properly. If the DSC HU/CM is replaced, always carry out the DSC HU/CM configuration so that the DSC operates properly. (See DSC CONFIGURATION .) The DSC may not function normally when the DSC HU/CM is replaced. After installation, always perform the initialization procedures for the DSC HU/CM, combined sensor and the steering angle sensor. (See DSC SENSOR INITIALIZATION PROCEDURE .) - Remove the battery tray bracket as shown in the figure.
- Remove in the order indicated in the table.
- Install in the reverse order of removal.
- After installation, add brake fluid, bleed the air, and inspect for fluid leakage. (See «AIR BLEEDING»(ref-375339-S29185173622010102800000) .)
- After installation, perform the following procedures: DSC configuration (See «DSC CONFIGURATION»(ref-375420-S26152068232010102800000) .) Combined sensor initialization procedure (See «DSC SENSOR INITIALIZATION PROCEDURE»(ref-375420-S09483054452010102800000) .) Scheme 29: DSC HU/CM Connector Removal Note
- Pull the lock lever up in the direction of the arrow.
- Pull the connector toward the vehicle rear and remove it.

Scheme 30: Brake Pipe Removal Note
- Place an alignment mark on the brake pipe and DSC HU/CM.
- Apply protective tape to the connector to prevent brake fluid from entering.
- Remove the brake pipe.

Scheme 31: DSC HU/CM Installation Note
- Install the rubber mount on DSC HU/CM section A to the bracket as shown in the figure.
- Install DSC HU/CM section B to the bracket.
- Install the nuts to DSC HU/CM section A and tighten them.

Scheme 32: Brake Pipe Installation Note
- Align the marks made before removal and install the brake pipe to the DSC HU/CM and brake pipe joint referring to the figure.
- Tighten the brake pipe to the specified torque using the commercially available flare nut wrench.

- After connecting the connector, verify that the lock lever is completely pushed in.
COMBINED SENSOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION
| CAUTION | The internal parts of the combined sensor could be damaged if dropped. Be careful not to drop the combined sensor. Replace the combined sensor if it is subjected to an impact. Also, do not use an impact wrench or other similar air tools when removing/installing the sensor. |

- Remove the console. (See «CONSOLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION»(ref-375422-S05218780952010102800000) .)
- Remove in the order indicated in the table.
- Install in the reverse order of removal.
- After installation, perform the combined sensor initialization procedure. (See «DSC SENSOR INITIALIZATION PROCEDURE»(ref-375420-S09483054452010102800000) .)

- Turn the ignition switch to the LOCK position.
- Connect the M-MDS to the DLC-2.
- Select the following PIDs, then inspect the lateral acceleration speed and the yaw rate. LAT_ACCL: (lateral acceleration speed) YAW_RATE: (yaw rate) Lateral acceleration speed inspection Verify the LAT_ACCL change when the combined sensor is tilted to the left and right. If there is any malfunction, replace the combined sensor. Standard When the sensor is tilted to the right (A): LAT_ACCL changes negatively. When the sensor is tilted to the left (B): LAT_ACCL changes positively. Yaw rate inspection Verify the YAW_RATE change when the combined sensor is rotated to the left and right. If there is any malfunction, replace the combined sensor. Standard When the sensor is rotated to the right (A): YAW_RATE changes negatively. When the sensor is rotated to the left (B): YAW_RATE changes positively.
Switch Bezel Component Removal Note
- Access the switch bezel component from behind of the dashboard, and squeeze the tabs of the switch bezel component.
- Remove the switch bezel component from the dashboard.

- Verify that the continuity is as indicated in the table. If not as indicated in the table, replace the TCS OFF switch.
