CENTER PANEL UPPER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

CAUTIONWhen using a fastener remover, always make sure that it does not interfere with the car navigation or audio units. Affix protective tape along the shaded area shown in the illustration to prevent scratches and damage. Otherwise, it could result in damage to the car navigation or audio units.

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Insert a tape-wrapped fastener remover into the position indicated by the arrow in the illustration, slide it to remove the hook A and clips B, and raise the front side of the center panel upper.
  3. Pull the center panel upper in the direction of the arrow shown in the illustration and remove it while detaching clips C.
  4. Disconnect the center speaker connector.
  5. Disconnect the hazard warning switch connector.
  6. Disconnect the information display connector.
  7. Install in the reverse order of removal.

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

Shift panel (See «SHIFT PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION»(ref-448656-S21764171192012012000000) .)
  3. Pull the center panel lower in the direction of the arrow(1) shown in the illustration while detaching clips B.
  4. Pull the center panel lower in the direction of the arrow(2) shown in the illustration and remove it while detaching clips B and hooks A.
  5. Disconnect the PAD indicator light bulb connector. (Vehicles with PAD indicator light bulb)
  6. Disconnect the seat warmer switch connector. (Vehicles with seat warmer)
  7. Disconnect the advanced keyless entry and push button start connector. (Vehicles with advanced keyless entry and push button start system)
  8. Disconnect the accessory socket (front) connector.
  9. Disconnect the cigarette lighter socket connector. (Arab Gulf Cooperation Council)
  10. Install in the reverse order of removal.

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

  3. Remove the screw A, pull the lower panel in the direction of the arrow in the order of (1) (2), (3) and remove the lower panel while detaching the hooks B, C, clips D and guide pin E.
  4. Disconnect the switch connector.
  5. Install in the reverse order of removal.

Scheme 50: SIDE PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION
  1. Pull the side panel in the direction of the arrow in the order of (1) and (2), then remove it while detaching the clips A, B, C and guide D.
  2. Remove the side panel.
  3. Install in the reverse order of removal.

  1. Pull the meter hood in the direction of the arrow shown in the illustration and remove it while detaching the clips A, tab B and blind rubber.
  2. Remove the meter hood.
  3. Install in the reverse order of removal.

GLOVE COMPARTMENT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

CAUTIONIf the glove compartment is closed without being joined to the stay damper, the stay damper may be damaged. Verify that the stay damper is joined to the glove compartment before closing the glove compartment.

  1. Pull the stay damper in the direction of the arrow shown in the illustration, and detach the connecting part between the glove compartment and the stay damper.
  2. Push both ends of the inner-side glove compartment in the direction of the arrow shown in the illustration.
  3. Lower the glove compartment in the direction of the arrow shown in the illustration.
  4. Detach the hook from the dashboard in the direction of the arrow shown in the illustration and remove the glove compartment.
  5. Install in the reverse order of removal.

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

  3. Remove the screw.
  4. Remove the center ventilator grille from the center panel upper.
  5. Install in the reverse order of removal.

  1. Pull out the fin of the side ventilator grill with turning it while disconnecting the tab of the ventilator grill cover.
  2. Install in the reverse order of removal.

  5. Install in the reverse order of removal.

  3. Remove the bolts.
  4. Remove the knee bolster.
  5. Install in the reverse order of removal.

  1. Detach clip A, pin B and guide C by pulling them in the direction of the arrow (1), (2).
  2. Remove the dashboard under cover.
  3. Install in the reverse order of removal.

UPPER PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

CAUTIONWhen removing clip A, press the connecting part of the center lower panel with a hand to prevent damage to clip A.

  2. Move the upper panel in the direction of the arrow in the order of (3), and remove it.

  3. Disconnect the auxiliary jack connector and accessory socket connector.
  4. Remove the screws A, B and screw C.
  5. Open the console lid and remove the storage box and mat.
  6. Remove the screws D.
  7. Pull the rear console in the direction of the arrow in the order of (1), then detaching clip E.
  8. Pull up the rear console in the direction of the arrow (2) shown in the illustration, move the rear console in the direction of the arrow (3), and remove it avoiding the parking brake lever.
  9. Install in the reverse order of removal.

  3. Disconnect the auxiliary jack connector and accessory socket connector.
  4. Remove the screws A, B and screw C.
  5. Open the console lid and remove the storage box and mat.
  6. Remove the screws D.
  7. Remove the dip F and hook G.
  8. Remove the rear console panel.
  9. Remove the rear fan switch connector.
  10. Remove the screw H.
  11. Pull the rear console in the direction of the arrow in the order of (1), then detaching clip E.
  12. Pull up the rear console in the direction of the arrow (2) shown in the illustration, move the rear console in the direction of the arrow (3), and remove it avoiding the parking brake lever.
  13. Install in the reverse order of removal.

TRUNK SIDE TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

  1. Remove the trunk end trim. (See «TRUNK END TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION»(ref-448656-S09132241602012012000000) .)
  2. Remove the rear seat cushion. (See «REAR SEAT CUSHION REMOVAL/INSTALLATION»(ref-448628-S22827010952012012000000) .)

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

  3. Pull the cover of inner handle and remove it while detaching tabs.
  4. Remove the recess cover.
  5. Remove the screws.
  6. Pull in the direction of the arrow shown in the illustration and remove clips from the door inner panel using a fastener remover.
  7. Remove the front door trim in the direction of the arrow shown in the illustration.
  8. Remove the inner handle and move the front door trim in the direction of the arrow shown in the illustration.
  9. Turn the inner handle 90° in the direction of the arrow and remove it from the front door trim.
  10. Disconnect the power outer mirror switch connector and power window main switch connector. (driver-side)
  11. Disconnect the power window subswitch connector. (passenger-side)
  12. Remove the door courtesy illumination bulb socket. (See «COURTESY LIGHT BULB REMOVAL/INSTALLATION»(ref-448651-S24277826812012012000000) .)
  13. Install in the reverse order of removal.

Installation

  1. insert the assist handle in the assist handle bracket.
  2. Push the assist handle cover in the direction of the arrow shown in the illustration to install the assist handle.

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the screw.
  3. Rotate the sunvisor in the direction of the arrow.
  4. Unhook and remove the sunvisor.
  5. Disconnect the vanity mirror illumination connector.
  6. Press the center adaptor tabs as shown in the illustration using two tape-wrapped flathead screwdrivers, and remove the center adaptor.
  7. Install in the reverse order of removal.

  6. Disconnect the auto-dimming mirror connector. (vehicles with auto-dimming mirror)

  10. Disconnect the roof harness connector, remove the clip, and remove the connector.
  11. Remove the fasteners.
  12. Remove the retainer holding the roof panel and remove the headliner.
  13. Take the headliner off from the passenger-side door opening.
  14. Install in the reverse order of removal.

  3. Remove the fasteners A and B.
  4. Remove the flange cap nuts C and harness clips D.
  5. Take the floor covering off from the front passenger-side door opening.
  6. Install in the reverse order of removal.
