DSC HU/CM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION
| CAUTION | When replacing the DSC HU/CM, configuration procedure must be done before removing the DSC HU/CM. If configuration is not completed before removing the DSC HU/CM, DTC B2477 will be detected. The internal parts of the DSC HU/CM could be damaged if dropped. Be careful not to drop the DSC HU/CM. Replace the DSC HU/CM if it is subjected to an impact. |
Scheme 49
- Configure the DSC HU/CM (only when replacing it). (See «DSC HU/CM CONFIGURATION»(ref-244634-S15395530342006092500000) ).
- Remove in the order indicated in the table.
- Install in the reverse order of removal.
- Perform the initialization procedures for the combined sensor. (See «COMBINED SENSOR INITIALIZATION PROCEDURE»(ref-244634-S11885744752006092500000) ).

- Release the lock lever to unlock it.
- Remove the connector.

- Mark the brake pipe connecting positions before removal for reference during installation.
DSC HU/CM Removal/Installation Note
- When removing/installing the DSC HU/CM from/to the vehicle, attach a strip of protective tape on the DSC HU/CM connector to prevent brake fluid from entering.

- When installing the brake pipe, align the marks made before removal with the DSC HU/CM as shown in the figure.

- Verify that the lock lever of the harness connector is securely locked.
FRONT ABS WHEEL-SPEED SENSOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

COMBINED SENSOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION
| CAUTION | The internal parts of the combined sensor could be damaged if dropped. Be careful not to drop the combined sensor. Replace the combined sensor if it is subjected to an impact. Also, do not use an impact wrench or other similar air tools when removing/installing the sensor. |

- Remove in the order indicated in the table.
- Install in the reverse order of removal.
- After installation, perform the combined sensor initialization procedure. (See «COMBINED SENSOR INITIALIZATION PROCEDURE»(ref-244634-S11885744752006092500000) ).
DSC OFF Switch Removal Note
- Insert your hand from the lower side of the dashboard and squeeze the tabs of the DSC OFF switch.
- Pull the DSC OFF switch forward to remove it.

- Remove the DSC OFF switch.
- Inspect for continuity between the DSC OFF switch terminals using an ohmmeter. If not within the specification, replace the DSC OFF switch.
