AUDIO CONTROL SWITCH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION
Note. The audio control switch and the cruise control switch use a common connector.

- Disconnect the negative battery cable.
- Remove the driver-side air bag module. (See «DUAL-STAGE DRIVER-SIDE AIR BAG MODULE»(ref-160473-S19123802582004021000000) .)
- Remove the steering wheel.
- Remove in the order indicated.
- Install in the reverse order of removal.

- Disconnect the negative battery cable.
- Remove the driver-side air bag module. (See «DUAL-STAGE DRIVER-SIDE AIR BAG MODULE»(ref-160473-S19123802582004021000000) .)
- Disconnect the audio control switch connector.
- Measure the resistance and inspect for continuity between the cruise control switch terminals using an ohmmeter. If not as specified, replace the cruise control switch.

- Disconnect the negative battery cable.
- Remove in the order indicated.
- Install in the reverse order of removal.

- Remove the rear package trim.
- Remove in the order indicated.

- Inspect for resistance and continuity between the noise filter terminals using an ohmmeter. If not as specified, replace the noise filter.

- Inspect for resistance and continuity between the noise filter terminals using an ohmmeter. If not as specified, replace the noise filter.

- Disconnect the negative battery cable.
- Remove the rear package trim.
- Remove in the order indicated.
- Install in the reverse order of removal.

- Disconnect the negative battery cable.

- Insert a tape-wrapped flathead screwdriver into the socket hole, then push on the ring protrusion to lift the socket toward you.
- As shown in the figure (Scheme 105), lift out the socket until the ring protrusion locks into the lower socket hole.
- Remove the boot panel.
- Front behind the boot panel, slide a tape-wrapped flathead screwdriver in between the socket and the ring protrusion.
- While twisting the ring protrusion with the screwdriver, push out and remove the socket.

- Pull the ring forward while squeezing the tabs.
