LIGHT SWITCH INSPECTION

1. Verify that the continuity between the light switch terminals is as indicated in the table.

1. If not as indicated in the table, replace the light switch.

1. Remove the battery cover. (See «BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [L3]»(ref-244326-S41790335602006092100000) ).
2. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
3. Insert a tape-wrapped flathead screwdriver into the gap between the headliner and the map light.
4. Press the tab and remove the map light.
5. Disconnect the connector.
6. Remove the socket, then remove the map light bulb.
7. Install in the reverse order of removal.

1. Verify that the continuity between the map light terminals is as indicated in the table. If not as indicated in the table, replace the map light.

1. Remove the battery cover. (See «BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [L3]»(ref-244326-S41790335602006092100000) ).
2. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
3. Insert a tape-wrapped flathead screwdriver into the service hole and pry with the screwdriver in the direction shown by the arrow to remove the lens.
4. Remove the interior light bulb.
5. Install in the reverse order of removal.

2. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

Front seat belt upper anchor installation bolt (See «FRONT SEAT BELT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION»(ref-244398-S39759204652006092100000) ). B-pillar upper trim (See «B-PILLAR UPPER TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION»(ref-244361-S06495024552006092100000) ). Rear package tray lid (See «REAR PACKAGE TRAY LID REMOVAL/INSTALLATION»(ref-244361-S18906244912006092100000) ). Sub-trunk Third-row seat (See «THIRD-ROW SEAT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION»(ref-244372-S17463966512006092100000) ). C-pillar trim (See «C-PILLAR TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION»(ref-244361-S32342025012006092100000) ). Map light (See «MAP LIGHT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION»(ref-244399-S06289737222006092100000) ). Assist handle (See «ASSIST HANDLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION»(ref-244361-S30917626052006092100000) ). Sunvisor (See «SUNVISOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION»(ref-244361-S30518920232006092100000) ). Headliner (See «HEADLINER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION»(ref-244361-S18152412482006092100000) ).
4. Detach the tab and remove the bulb housing. NOTE: The valve housing and the wiring harness have been integrated and attached to the headliner. The wiring harness passes under the urethane and shock absorption pad, so if the valve housing is to be replaced, cut the urethane and then cut and remove the shock absorption pad.
5. Pull in the direction of the arrows and detach the tabs.
6. Remove the interior light.
7. Install in the reverse order of removal. NOTE: Install a new shock absorption pad by applying adhesive to the areas where the previous shock absorption pad was removed after installing the wiring harness. Also, after installing the wiring harness and shock absorption pad, reinforce the areas where the urethane was cut with vinyl tape.

1. Verify that the continuity between the interior light terminals is as indicated in the table. If not as indicated in the table, replace the interior light.

2. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
3. Remove the following parts: Side wall (See «SIDE WALL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION»(ref-244361-S31703119622006092100000) ). Front console (See «FRONT CONSOLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION»(ref-244361-S03102331672006092100000) ). Front scuff plate inner (Passenger's side) (See «FRONT SCUFF PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION»(ref-244361-S26008392432006092100000) ). Front side trim (Passenger's side) (See «FRONT SIDE TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION»(ref-244361-S28323081802006092100000) ). Side panel (Passenger's side) (See «SIDE PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION»(ref-244361-S16170239572006092100000) ). Glove compartment (See «GLOVE COMPARTMENT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION»(ref-244361-S15926577782006092100000) ).
4. Remove the socket, then remove the glove compartment light bulb.
5. Install in the reverse order of removal.

Scheme 18

2. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
3. Remove the cargo compartment light.
4. Disconnect the cargo compartment light connector.
5. Remove the cargo compartment light bulb.
6. Install in the reverse order of removal.

1. Verify that the continuity between the cargo compartment light terminals is as indicated in the table. If not as indicated in the table, replace the cargo compartment light.

1. Remove the battery cover. (See «BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [L3]»(ref-244326-S41790335602006092100000) ).
2. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
3. Disassemble in the order indicated in the table.
4. Install in the reverse order of removal.

1. Verify that the continuity between door switch terminal and the body ground is as indicated in the table. If not as indicated in the table, replace the door switch.

Scheme 24

1. Remove the battery cover. (See «BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [L3]»(ref-244326-S41790335602006092100000) ).
2. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
3. Remove the lower column cover. (See «COLUMN COVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION»(ref-244361-S33738517862006092100000) ).
4. Remove the ignition key illumination bulb.
5. Install in the reverse order of removal.
