GENERATOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [LF, L3]
| WARNING | When the battery cables are connected, touching the vehicle body with generator terminal B will generate sparks. This can cause personal injury, fire, and damage to the electrical components. Always disconnect the battery negative cables before performing the following operation. |
Scheme 12
- Remove the battery cover. (See «BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [LF, L3]»(ref-345206-S36173522052009102000000) ).
- Disconnect the negative battery cable.
- Remove the under cover and splash shield as a single unit.
- Remove the plug hole plate. (See «PLUG HOLE PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [LF, L3]»(ref-345205-S31861420912009102000000) .)
- Position the coolant reserve tank out of the way.
- Position the drive belt out of the way. (See «DRIVE BELT REPLACEMENT [LF, L3]»(ref-345205-S18707332462009102000000) .)
- Position the coolant reserve tank out of the way.
- Remove in the order indicated in the table.
- Install in the reverse order of removal.
Generator Installation Note
- Align the generator fixing hole with the engine side hole, then temporarily tighten the generator installation bolts in the order of A, B, C, and D.
- Securely tighten the generator installation bolts in the order of A, B, C, and D.
