REMOVAL & INSTALLATION
| WARNING | When battery cables are connected, touching the vehicle body with starter terminal B will generate sparks. This can cause personal injury, fire, and damage to electrical components. Be sure to disconnect the battery before performing the following operation. |
Note. On models with anti-theft system, obtain code number and deactivate audio anti-theft system before disconnecting battery.
- Remove the battery cover.
- Disconnect negative battery cable.
- Remove the under cover.
- Remove the clutch release cylinder with the pipe still connected.
- Remove components as numbered in the illustration. Numbers in parenthesis reference numbers in the illustration. Terminal "B" wire (1), terminal "S" wire (2), wiring harness bracket (3) and starter (4). (Scheme 6)
- Install in the reverse order of removal. Tighten starter bolts to specifications. See «TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS»(ref-169162-S07706897402004120100000).
