  1. Remove the front subframe. For additional information, refer to «SUBFRAME - FRONT»(ref-356645-S27336481732010022500000) .
  2. Assemble the Front Subframe Bushing Remover/Installer to the front subframe.
  3. Press out the subframe bushing.

  1. Assemble the Front Subframe Bushing Remover/Installer to the front subframe with the new subframe bushing.
  2. Align the subframe bushing to the front subframe. Align the subframe bushing so that the voids are oriented in the fore-aft position.
  3. Press the new subframe bushing into the front subframe.
  4. Install the front subframe. For additional information, refer to «SUBFRAME - FRONT»(ref-356645-S27336481732010022500000) .

  1. Measure and record the vehicle ride height. For additional information, refer to «SUSPENSION SYSTEM - GENERAL INFORMATION»(ref-356590) .
  2. Remove the rear wheels. For additional information, refer to «WHEELS & TIRES»(ref-356589) .
  3. With a wax pencil, mark the relational alignment of the rear subframe to the underbody at the mounting locations.
  4. Remove the muffler and tail pipe. For additional information, refer to «EXHAUST SYSTEM»(ref-356593) .
  5. If equipped, remove and discard the 6 driveshaft bolts and position the driveshaft aside. To install, tighten the new bolts to 25 Nm (18 lb-ft). NOTE: If equipped, index-mark the driveshaft before disconnecting from the rear drive axle.
  6. Remove and discard the sway bar link upper nuts and reposition the sway bar.
  7. Using a suitable jackstand, support the lower arm.
  8. Remove the rear shock lower bolts. To install, tighten the rear shock lower bolts to 175 Nm (129 lb-ft). NOTE: Before tightening the lower shock bolts, make sure that the vehicle is at the recorded vehicle ride height. For additional information, refer to «SUSPENSION SYSTEM - GENERAL INFORMATION»(ref-356590) .
  9. Remove the jackstand from the lower arm.
  10. Disconnect the main subframe electrical connector.
  11. Release the parking brake cable tension. For additional information, refer to «PARKING BRAKE AND ACTUATION»(ref-356617) .
  12. Disconnect the RH parking brake cable from the front parking brake cable and the frame cable bracket.
  13. Remove the rear parking brake cable bracket and reposition. To install, tighten to 15 Nm (133 lb-in).
  14. Remove the wheel opening parking brake cable bracket bolts and reposition the brackets. To install, tighten to 15 Nm (133 lb-in).
  15. Remove the parking brake cables from the calipers.
  16. Remove the rear brake caliper bolts. To install, tighten to 103 Nm (76 lb-ft).
  17. Remove the rear calipers and position aside. Attach to the body using mechanic's wire. NOTE: It is not necessary to disconnect the hydraulic brake lines.
  18. Remove and discard the 4 rear subframe bracket bolts. To install, tighten to 55 Nm (41 lb-ft).
  19. Position a lifting table under the subframe. NOTE: When positioning the lifting table, be sure to support the rear subframe on the subframe rails. Do not lift on the rear differential or rear control arms, damage may occur.
  20. Remove and discard the 2 front bolts of the rear subframe. To install, tighten to 200 Nm (148 lb-ft).
  21. Remove and discard the 2 rear bolts of the rear subframe. To install, tighten to 200 Nm (148 lb-ft).
  22. To install, reverse the removal procedure. Align the rear subframes to the alignment marks.
