Removal

Note. This procedure shows removal and installation of the LH paddle shifter. Removal and installation of the RH paddle shifter is similar.

1. Turn the steering wheel far enough to access the inner paddle shifter screw. Turn the steering wheel clockwise if removing the LH paddle shifter. Turn the steering wheel counterclockwise if removing the RH paddle shifter.
2. Using a suitable tool, gently pry the bottom of the paddle shifter cover up and remove the paddle shifter cover.
3. Remove the 2 paddle shifter screws.
4. Using a suitable nylon trim tool, gently pry the corner of the back steering wheel trim cover loose from the steering wheel. Position aside the back steering wheel trim cover and remove the paddle shifter from the steering wheel.
5. Disconnect the electrical connector and remove the paddle shifter.

1. Connect the paddle shifter electrical connector.
2. Install the paddle shifter on the steering wheel and position the corner of the back steering wheel trim cover back in place.
3. Install the 2 paddle shifter screws.
4. Install the paddle shifter cover.

1. Remove the selector lever knob and bezel. For additional information, refer to «SELECTOR LEVER BEZEL»(ref-376034-S18051176402010103100000) and «SELECTOR LEVER KNOB»(ref-376034-S14407159522010103100000) .
2. Disconnect the selector lever cable end from the selector lever.
3. Depress the 2 tabs and remove the selector lever cable from the selector lever.
4. Disconnect the electrical connector.
5. Remove the 4 selector lever bolts and the selector lever from the vehicle.

1. Install the selector lever and the 4 selector lever bolts. Tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb-in).
2. Connect the electrical connector.
3. Install the selector lever cable on the selector lever cable retainer. Be sure the tabs are locked in place.
4. Connect the selector lever cable end to the selector lever.
5. Install the selector lever bezel and knob. For additional information, refer to «SELECTOR LEVER BEZEL»(ref-376034-S18051176402010103100000) and «SELECTOR LEVER KNOB»(ref-376034-S14407159522010103100000) .
6. Check the selector lever cable adjustment. Make sure that the vehicle starts in PARK and NEUTRAL and the reverse lamps illuminate in REVERSE. If an adjustment is necessary, refer to «SELECTOR LEVER CABLE ADJUSTMENT»(ref-376034-S05466088092010103100000) .

1. Using 2 flat-head screwdrivers, gently pry the lower selector lever knob bezel at the front and back of the selector lever knob out to release it from the retaining tabs and slide the lower selector lever knob bezel downward.
2. Remove the 2 screws and remove the selector lever knob.

1. Position the selector lever knob on the selector lever and install the 2 screws.
2. Slide the lower selector lever bezel up and snap into place.

1. Remove the selector lever knob. For additional information, refer to «SELECTOR LEVER KNOB»(ref-376034-S14407159522010103100000) .
2. Remove the center console trim.
3. Remove the cup holder lid trim panel.
4. Remove the cup holder retaining screws and position the cupholder out of the center console to access the electrical connector.
5. Disconnect the cupholder electrical connector and remove the cupholder.
6. Place the selector lever in M. Slide the selector lever bezel back and lift to access the electrical connectors.
7. Disconnect the 4 electrical connectors and remove the selector lever bezel from the center console.
8. Release the 7 tabs and remove the selector lever boot from the selector lever bezel.
9. Release the 6 tabs and remove the selector lever boot bezel from the selector lever bezel.

Scheme 35

1. Install the selector lever boot bezel in the selector lever bezel. Check to make sure the 6 tabs are correctly installed.
2. Install the selector lever boot in the selector lever bezel. Check to make sure the 7 tabs are correctly installed.
3. Connect the 4 electrical connectors and position the selector lever bezel over the selector lever, on the center console.
4. Push forward on the selector lever bezel and install it in the center console.
5. Connect the cupholder electrical connector and position the cupholder in place.
6. Position the cup holder in place and install the 4 screws.
7. Position the cup holder trim cover in place and install.
8. Position the center counsel trim in place and install.
9. Install the selector lever knob. For additional information, refer to «SELECTOR LEVER KNOB»(ref-376034-S14407159522010103100000) .
